Some interesting and very emotive comments, naturally. My thoughts are that it was a v poor game in terms of quality (who played well, and I mean on either side ???? ) aside from Cavani, who showed his class.

Don't, please don't tell me we played well, and don't have a go because I make such statements. That was two mid table teams going at it.

I cannot stand OGS as our manager, that's all I think when I watch us. There's nothing about us, at all, Southampton were rubbish. Rubbish.

Can't OGS see how we are playing?? Is he satisfied with this?

I am sorry, and I mean that, but I am not letting a win cloud my judgement. Does OGS really want us to compete for the Premiership title and Champions League? Because I cannot see it in our performances.

We're just another team, relying on inspirational moments. Bruno usually provides that, and today it was Cavani.
Worst post of the year?
Definitely one of the worst

Fantastic comeback win, although never should have been behind in the first place. Forwards need to far more clinical in their finishing.

Don't see how Pogba gets back into this team as a starter. Whatever we can get for him, I'd be putting towards a top CDM. Some decent shielding ahead of the defence would make such a massive difference to this side.
The point about Pogba is that there is no need to rush him back nor are we dependent on him.

He can fill that Bruno role further up the pitch while DVB can drop deeper if needed

Entertaining Match, it would have been unfair if we lost.

Cavani, his movement is just sublime, should definitely start games from here on.
I loved watching DVB, very tidy player, hardly puts a foot wrong when with ball at feet, Rarely loses the ball, my MOTM, with Fred a close second.

Bruno was terrible today, besides the goal, the worst i have seen him for us, might be a bit tired.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Almost one fourth of our way into the season, we're a point above City, and 5 off the top with a game in hand.
I think we'd have taken that at the start of the season.

Yeah kept giving the ball away but still scored a goal.... Even on his worst day he is always a threat.
What a signing, amazing that there wasn't much competition for his signature as he didn't exactly come out of the blue with these performances. Shades of how Ronaldo used to frustrate but still win us games.

Fire in the eyes and a wonderful workrate. That's a proper Man Utd striker. Hope he will be starting more games for us.

That was a tough game and we had to dig deep for that. Feels amazing to see the winner go in! Donny and Cavani are two great additions to the squad! Great work by the people in charge.

Ward-Prowse set piece delivery is some of the best in Europe, almost won the game single handedly for Southampton.

Pity the idiots whinging, I loved that, thats what you watch football for.

Cavani is class, a top quality striker and it's been far too long since we've had someone of that ability up top for us. Amazing display.

Martial on the left, rashford/greenwood on the right, Cavani up top for the rest of the season if possible, please, and thank you.

At 70 minutes in the Brazilian broadcast, a guy posted and was read live that Cavani would score the turnaround at injury time. Way to go predicting a game.

Lovely to see it after a not so good first half.

Not sure what game you were watching. I thought we had a number of great performers. Cavani is the obvious example with 2 goals and an assist but he also pressed really well and helped to win the ball back a number of times. Fred, DVB and Lindelof had good performances for us as well I thought....

Cavani is fit now.. He needs to be start starting.. Just proves what we have been missing..
Martial, Rashford are not the same kind of strikers as this guy is..

What a movement from Cavani. Brilliant to watch. Outstanding player. Kudos to team. Fight till the end. We deserved that.

Definitely on the short list for worst post of the year. A thread worth starting.

If you can’t enjoy a win like this you really need to drop football altogether and watch pro wrestling, monster trucks or something else equally predictable and boring.

No way they deserved the 2-0 lead... so miserable at half time but believed we could come back. We've done Southampton 3-2 before and we deserved to do it again.

So is Big Ralphie still the man for Utd? :smirk:

Instead of attacking us he decided to defend. Free kick in time added; played it backwards

Brilliant comeback. It was absolute bollocks that they were 2-0 up in the first place, let’s be honest because the entire performance was much better.

Cavani was bloody brilliant. A proper striker. We need to see the trio of him, Bruno and VDB regularly going forward.

Jesus. Give your head a wobble mate. You're chatting absolute garbage. So every goal we scored now is due individual brilliance?

They were 2 up thanks to that Beckham wannabe in midfield. They didn't offer much apart from that. Still, he's a good manager. No point denying that.

United deserved the 3, full stop, but it felt like it would be one of those matches. A match United controls but drops points because they didn’t take chances while the opponent did. xG shows that - just over .5 expected goals for Southampton and they score 2. Well done hanging in there and battling for the 3 points!

That is a very funny post. I assume it is a joke but very funny either way. Sounds like the ramblings of a lunatic.
