Poor defending. Bejger misses the run behind him - and no one follows the run of Obafemi who slots him nicely from 18 yards after the ball is cut back to him. Puigmal with a horrible miss minutes later.

We're just entering the 70th minute now. We have decent control of the game, but Southampton are getting more of the ball. However, they aren't making good use of it, and our players are keeping their shape well.

Charlie McCann's coming off for Dillon Hoogewerf. That's a surprisingly attacking sub when we're 2-1 up. However, it does allow both Shoretire and Elanga to play in areas of the pitch where they're more comfortable.

I think Neil Wood wants us to have more of the ball and show more of an attacking threat. Without a striker, Southampton have had a very easy time stopping us through the middle.

Southampton pushing numbers up is starting to open up more gaps for our attacking players. Bringing Hoogewerf on is giving us a central player to play off of, and it's creating more gaps for our other attacking players.

The ball was played somewhat behind him. He's leaning back. I had a feeling that'd hit the bar. If he had not put as much power on that shot, he could have kept that low enough.

EDIT: Never mind, a Southampton defender just got his toe on the ball and raised it up enough to affect Pellistri's shot.

Mark Helm's looking much better the more he gets on the ball. He's not so good when he's isolated out wide. He's been looking more comfortable and expressive in the midfield, too.

Yep, looked bad on first viewing but on the replay you can see the touch bobbles the ball up as he hits it which causes it to rise
