Liverpool will still win the title but it's nice to see they're not as invisible .

They looked pretty invisible to me.

Their form last couple of months have been pretty crap tbh. Win against Spurs + the Palace demolition made them look better than they are, draws against Brighton, Fulham, West Brom, Newcastle and now loss against Soton. That’s nowhere near title winning form. I said before the Leicester game that we could be top of the league with a game in hand before playing them if we managed to get 9/9 but people didn’t even entertain that notion.

Crazy season indeed, it may well be a crazy title win this year, but we need to stay consistent and just hope they continue their poor form.

I hope we smash them and create a gap, then I'll start to be believe.

Firmino gets away with being invisible far too much. Imagine having a striker who literally does nothing week after week.

Fair enough he'll score a hatty against us, but apart from that, he's not up to much.

Plenty on here blamed our shite defence on our attack being poor before.
And Owen actually made a good point. Defence can actually affect how a team approach a game. With a solid defense most managers wouldn't look or feel the need to play with 2 sitting midfielders like we're currently doing which then affect how we attack.

A team that has complete faith in their defense would go forward and attack with much more freedom and less worry than a team that has a leaky defense.

I don't know what's throwing @pratyush_utd off from what Owen said.

Liverpool with one shot on target over 90 minutes! Was similar against West Brom too.

What's happening? @Klopper76 @Dumbstar @Cheech Wizard
Nobody choosing to shoot enough at goal. Too many players looking for that splitting or lobbed over pass but it's not creative enough, just sideways and repetitive and it's against teams now with their backs to goal becoming harder to break through. They have learned how to sustain our attacking intent throughout the game and gradually we lose that impoteus when the goal doesn't come. Forwards are horribly out of form too and can't do the basics like controlling or choosing when to shoot the ball.

A balanced and fair response, and no mention of refereeing conspiracies either. Good stuff.

It sounds like a blatant case of players being out of form and perhaps low on confidence as a result. It's up to Klopp to motivate them, trying to divert pressure from his players by blaming the refs won't help them in that regard though.

I mentioned it in the title race thread. I think we've reached our mental breaking point. Playing like a relegation fodder team. Good knows how long this will last. Buying anyone in the January window won't change anything. Maybe the Utd game is what we need to get our shit back together.

Someone put Michael Owen back in his box of irrelevance, the twit.

Saying Chelsea have been better than we've been.
