You mean bad management. Coaching is literally the training of players on field. What you’re describing has nothing to do with his coaching ability
He’s coaching them in a way that makes playing 38 games a challenge. Good coaching would be finding ways to make them effective over a full season. Or a full match even. What they do instead is run a lot to the point they’re useless for about a third of every single game they play. Not good coaching.

You could be excellent at coaching players to take the best throw ins in the world. If it doesn’t translate to helping you win enough games you’re not a good coach. You’re good at coaching at one thing.

They are drawing vs an in-form Chelsea side and you're arguing as if his management cut off their legs and made it impossible to compete. Teams not sustaining the same intensity for 90 minutes is also perfectly normal.

I get such Van Gaal vibes from Tuchel’s Chelsea so far. Bore the opposition to sleep.

They’ve just lost 6 games in a row. They currently find themselves slightly above Burnley. After finishing below them last season. Nobody will fall over themselves to label Sean Dyche a great coach.

Good result for us. Points will be dropped in the Liverpool Vs Everton game, as well, so we need to capitalise on it this weekend. No excuses.

The most maddening thing in the world!

At one point a saints defender was chasing a ball, it had crossed the touchline out of play and he just launched it into the stands. Ref did nothing.
Damn, that is unforgivable, in that case, game should be replayed!
You'll be fine in few hours, when anger and disappointment fades away.

For effort alone Southampton deserved their point. Am I right in saying the only shot on target in that 2nd half was from the converted penalty?

Saints threw away the win, but glad they still took points from Chelsea.

Dyche is very clearly a great coach though? His style of football is not particularly interesting but he’s built a steady PL team on a tiny budget.

Yes. I understand, you don't like Hasenhüttl.

Didnt deserve to win, dont think McCarthy had a meaningful save to make, neither did Mendy really. So draw fair result. Cant win them all

2 draws and 5 wins in 7 games against mid table / bottom / struggling teams for Tuchel. 9 goals scored (3 of them penalties). They look defensively solid mostly at the expense of creativity.
Then again despite buying 100 players in the summer I find most of their squad really uninspiring. I feel they will buy at least 2 exciting players next transfer window (one might be Haaland).
