Really frustrating how we find a way to dodge challenging for silverware currently.
At the end of the day it's in the manager. We are developing a clear pattern of fecking up these games.

This Europa and last we where the best team in it. At worst you should be making the final in one out of the two.

With how we fecked up the CL it's will be really hard to defend Ole at all if these or one of the non Prem clubs knock us out.

Not a great performance but was never going to be easy with the injuries we have at the moment. Hopefully the Martial one isn't too bad.

If we can get a couple of players back we'll finish them off next week.
Let's hope they don't get some of their 6 missing first-team players back, as well.

Even though their goal was late you can’t exactly argue with the result. Milan were good we were poor.
We definitely need bodies back over this next week- it’s probably our most important week of the season.

Conflicted as i want to say poor but we played against the 2ed in Serie A and we were the better team, so it can't be that poor.

Delighted for Amad. Here's hoping it's a start to a great career at United.

Thought we handed the game to them at the end by going so defensive....

Whole performance was poor. No idea what that triple sub was about. We were 1-0 up at the time but Milan were still the better side. James and Maguire missed complete sitters. De Gea would have saved that goal at the end, Henderson doesn't have the reflexes that De Gea has.

We were seriously missing Rashford in this game - he's usually the one that finds something in big games. Missing Cavani and Pogba who would have turned up in this match too.
It's not even about having reflexes. The ball was directed straight at him and he's contrived to throw himself underneath it. What he seems to be doing is trying to dive and tip it over the bar, but the ball was far too low to need that.

When we were playing more aggressively football we were conceding at least 2 goals a game.
We just saw at the weekend how we performed better as a defensive unit when we push up further. This is a goal we've conceded against Everton, Sheff United etc. Its a tactic which invites pressure.

Only positive though is Amad's goal, excellent and run and excellent header to guide the ball away from the Donnaroma to the back of the net ...

Because injuries are mouting up and we need to rest players so this is an acceptable medium.
We dont look up for the EL, lets be honest. Its getting to the stage that we need to make choices between a nothing cup and cement second place in the league and go for the fa cup. No Rashford, Cavani or Martial for a few weeks is now a nightmare.
id rather we pushed for this trophy to be honest
We’ll finish 2nd or 3rd

Doubt it. Milan looked the better side away. They’ll more likely knock out United at San Siro.
Until we dropped off and made defensive changes for no reason, they were treading water, and we were barely out of second gear. We'll start closer to our starting XI and they'll be overwhelmed.

Unpopular opinion, David De Gea would've been slaughtered on this forum for conceding that goal.
It's not even Henderson's worst mistake of the season. But his mistakes get forgotten about in the rush to proclaim him the heir apparent.
He is more comfortable coming off his line than De Gea, but he's yet to prove he should be our No1 for the next few years.

Great Milan team to watch, young and ambitious and a good blueprint for Ole.

Time to writeoff Martial, Matic and all our other overpaid brand footballers.

Shocking performance, we have been second best in every regard.
We cannot complain about the result.

Not saying Ole out before the summer but in all honesty our style of football does not get better.

Unpopular opinion, you got the balls to ask to be the best paid goalkeeper in the world you better perform like it.

Yea, for all of De Gea's shortcomings he is still the better option off the two of them

Solskjaer does that in virtually every game. His subs decisions are the most defensive of any Utd manager ever. Pro Solskjaer fans would have slaughtered Mourinho and Van Gaal for doing anything similar to what he did today and does on numerous occasions.

It would really be annoying if we talk about learning from this because there have been ample games where we have dropped shockers - expensive ones at that - after massive results and we haven't learnt.

Difficult to get away from the fact that we stroll into games very slow paced after good wins

“We sat too deep”, says manager who ended the game with Bruno on the bench and Williams, Bailly, Maguire, Telles, Shaw, Matic and Fred on the pitch.

Outside 2 big misses from James and Maguire we haven't played well at all.
Losing possession all over the field, could not counter or create anything from open play. Their midfield outplayed ours for most parts.
They looked the better team overall and the last min. goal was justice for the positive team.

Just couldn't understand the substitutions, totally handed initiative back to Milan. All creativity gone, Bruno having his best spell of the match and he takes him off, Teles had a poor game but left on as ?? ....well not such what he was supposed to be playing. Once again Ole was ultra defensive and decided to just sit back and try and see it out.
To be fair Milan technically much better than us and deserved a draw.

I think we'll score too but Milan won't leave a lot of space as they don't need to be adventurous. We know what this United team is good at but if the counter isn't on then we could struggle as usual.

It's 50-50 I think.

They'll park the bus and finish 0-0 and we'll be out on away goals.

Definitely a fair result. They more than deserved that.

I thought the midfield was awful tonight. Just a complete inability to progress the ball up the pitch. Credit to Milan as they played their part in that, but the midfield pairing were absolutely terrible.
I really don't agree with that - I thought McTominay was arguably our best player in the first half, primarily because he did very well with accurate forward passes.
