Impressive necro’ing.

Still too good to retire to MLS just yet. Wonder if he will go back to Argentina or try his hand at another European club.

Seemed the most aptly titled thread and I didn’t want to create yet another thread about a rival player.

Leaving Citeh at end o't season. Will probably have a statue now.

A well deserved statue.
Also, Aguero had said years back, he will see out his contract at City and join a club in Argentina. He had no other plans.
Wonder if he has other plans now

Glazers will be picking their lips here.

Leaving just in time for us considering we are so cheap we only sign 30+ stop gap strikers.

Good thing Aguero would reject us.

Seems a bit small time handing out statues the minute a club legend leaves.

Glad to see the back of him - as much as I hate him for breaking our hearts in 2012, he will go down as one of the all time great PL strikers.

Also, this news worries me greatly. City would not announce something like this unless they had a replacement already lined up. Jesus is certainly not up to scratch. I just hope they haven't snared Haaland.

He’s the only one they’ve ever had though isn’t he?

I bet they can’t wait to commission one.

They should definitely have one of the Sheikh, without him they would be in the championship.

He is finally leaving then.

Incredible striker for them, and one of the best in PL-history.
I would say they wont be able to replace a player like that, but then, its all set up for them to make a move for Haaland.

Deserved statue me hole.
The scientists that developed Covid vaccines deserve statues.
Not people who were blessed with a pro level football talent and were very well paid.
Footballers getting statues is just sickening. This is just my opinion of course.

Another statue at City. Be more statues than fans in a couple of years

As much as it hurt from our side, what a moment that was when he scored that goal against QPR. Absolutely incredible stuff and will rightly go down as one of the most memorable moments in Premier League history.

He's been a class act during his time at City too.

What a player, I honestly think he is the second best striker in the history of the Premier League. As much as that pains me to say.

Wonderful player.
Cant help but feel he's wasted his career a bit mind playing for a plastic oil club. Could have done much better.

Well you are absolutely right that the people who invented the vaccine deserve statues. In this context though, a statue for a footballer that will be within the grounds of a football stadium, owned by a football club. Well deserved, no?

When you go to Old Trafford and see the statue of the trinity do you become enraged that the space could have been used to eulogise Mother Theresa?

Plenty of space no?

Isnt he off to Barcelona to play with Messi for next season? I know Koeman wants Depay but Messi wants Aguero. What Messi wants.....

No surprise.

great player, but clearly he’s not good enough for the PL anymore.

It would have been a surprise if he was staying.

I don't think Pep particularly likes him (hence his early attempts to drop him for Jesus).

He ultimately couldn't really justify binning him back then, firstly because some players are just so good you have to work round any personal/stylistical dislike but secondly his decision to drop Joe Hart was meet with outrage so imagine if he did likewise to Aguero. Now Aguero looks like he's well and truly peaked combined with the fact it's clear City can cope without him means he can firmly justify the decision without any real opposition.

Yaya Toure in 2018.
Kompany in 2019.
David Silva in 2020.
Aguero in 2021.

He's the last of the original winners I think? Can't be anyone else left.

Was an incredible striker in his prime, should deservedly go down as one of the best strikers the league has ever seen.
