Not the prettiest win but we got there in the end. Good result.

Don't care what @Sandikan says either. We were not outschooled by Potter.
I've been arguing with countless drones all night saying just that mate
You might have seen a sarcastic post where I said the outcoached/outschooled.

It was classic Brighton, play some tidy non threatening keep ball, then lose.

Another meh performance. Second half was much better but not able to control lower half teams, giving them headstart, not having a clue for large amount of times in a game..these shortcomings were on display yet again. At least our chances to conversion was much better today. Another day, Rashford would have shot straight at keeper and Greenwood's header would have been saved by a GK wonder save.

Btw, all three goals scored today, courtesy of Manchester United academy. Another academy guy Pogba on assist charts as well

Completely different games in the first and second half. Fantastic win that gives us clear water over the teams below

Also, one of those "Weird Feelings of Football" that Welbeck always scores against us whenever he plays

Last 30 minutes were good. The rest....no. Wan-Bisakka can't cross a ball whatsoever. Pogba was giving it away in key areas as usua;, Defense shambles, Fernandes can't find Cavani. I mean c'mon seriously, how difficult is it to put in the same amount of effort as you would normally???

Standouts are:
Greenwood (attacking till the end and was along with Shaw, the best two players on the pitch)
Rashford (based upon the fact he played with an obvious injury)
Shaw (Relentless attack and I see he's picked up a few new skills too - his footwork was insane this match)

Terrible first half, where it looked like the players couldn't be arsed. Much better in the second half but very concerning that we struggle to create alot of chances regardless of the opposition. Finally Greenwood scored. Hopefully he can show what a huge talent he is.

didn't get to see the game but that's top 4 virtually 100% secured barring a catastrophic collapse. Job (almost) done.

Big win.

Thought we started ok, then they scored and we were fecking terrible.

Equalised out of nowhere and then from then on I thought we were pretty good.

A well-worn path at this point. I thought we were very poor in the first half after their goal; slow, inaccurate passing with next to no movement up front. However we were much better second half and got the goals we needed.

Christ knows why we need to make it so hard for ourselves almost every week, but I'm happy with the three points and the second half display.

Well done. Good start and good reaction. Have to take the result with the season that's in it and the results going on around us. Just get to summer for god's sake

Good job. Still not confident we'll get top 4 with the games that are left. But would be pretty terrible if we do manage to screw it up now.

Good win. I would say eked out but while our first half performance was dreadful, the second half was excellent. Ole definitely put a rocket up each of them at half time, as he had to.

Henderson, Maguire, Lindelof and Shaw - solid again, aside from Dean flapping at a few corners (happy that he’s number 1 though). AWB less so. One criticism I have is that this guy is really overrated both in attack and in defence. Pogba good, Fred improved (not hard after that Leicester game!). Cavani clearly unfit and awful. Bruno and Rashford combine to save us again, love those two, and finally, Mason has scored in consecutive appearances for the first time since lockdown  This is his time, especially with Martial out for the season.

We need to win and win these types of games week after week as City are unfortunately doing now, and as we always did under Fergie. It’s the most important part in winning titles.

Deserved win but we need to create more. Our players stand still way too much. At one point in the second half Bruno got the ball from the left and cut in to the top of the box and took a shot. As he is shooting we had 4 players in the box and every one of them was standing still. The shot was straight at the keeper and came to nothing. Make a run. Any run. You may get a tip on the shot and we go up earlier....

AWB and Lindelof have to do better. Both with their back to Welbeck. Take a step back and open up so you can see the play and the open man...

Thank feck for that.

BT Sport were nauseating tonight going on about Brighton. They did the square root of feck all aside from take their only chance and defend for their lives but you’d swear they were playing us off the park.

A really good win, we needed it especially with the teams below us dropping points. The first half performance was embarrassing, and it happens a bit too often. Second half was much better, can’t help but feel like our players dragged us over the line again.

Typical present day United. We don't like to do easy do we? Nothing learnt tonight. A team sits back disciplined and we struggle to break them down. And our attack is about as blunt as a flat screen right now. Surely our strikers have to get back in form before this season ends right? That said, very good win and 3 points! On to the next...

Well done by your boys @The Boy.
I do think we deserved to edge it in the end, but y'all put up a great big fight.

Next weeks will continue to be tough for y'all, but I hope you'll steel it out so we can have more matchups like this next year.

A real real struggle. Thursday would be a good time to try Amad on the right with Greenwood up top.

No. Brighton play better football. We have much better players. I don't think there is anyone in their team that's going to get into ours.

Important result against a good side.

Their goal came against the run of play otherwise we controlled the majority of the game just lacked quality in attack. Nowhere near as bad as people are making out.

About the penalty situation Maguire vs Welbeck, wasn’t he offside?

It certainly wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win at this time of year. Credit to the players for grinding for 90 minutes, and to Ole for making a substitution that impacted the game. Take the 3 points and move on.

Horrendous first half, much better second. We're in a poor phase, no doubt. Most of our big men out of form, nothing really clicking. In those circumstances, it's hard to find positives but the ability to grind out a result like that against an undeniably decent team is not to be underestimated. Ask Chelsea, ask Leicester, Spurs, Liverpool....it's tough to find and keep that flow this season. We're almost guaranteed top 4 now, big European match coming up on Thursday, people need to look for the positives.

It's lovely when a team who have been time wasting all game get turned around and are suddenly outraged about time wasting.

Eat shite, Brighton.
