How do you "renegades" think 200 hooded goons breaking in and messing the ground up and potentially messing one game up is going to force billionaires to sell a ground in a country they never go to?
Because a game stopped due to fans protest gains more media coverage. It highlights the reasons why the fans protested which leads to more people becoming aware of the Glazers and their regime. It leads to sponsors asking questions of Utd executives as to how can they continue investing in a brand that is being shown in a negative light on the media. All of this contributes to ramping up the pressure on the Glazers, if not to sell, then at least do everything they can to appease the fans so this negative spotlight is removed.

I get why people are protesting but would still like to see the game go ahead and to beat Liverpool.
However if they don't out of the stadium soon and the game gets cancelled we might loose the 3 points, Liverpool gain 3 points which increase their chances of European football next year.. and City win the title today.

Not the greatest of outcomes, maybe could have been better to protest on a less important game. We are still trying to climb back to being one of the strongest teams in the Premiership and beating Liverpool today would have been another step towards that.

I get the need to protest but not sure gifting Liverpool 3 points is the best outcome.

Its already been a successful protest in that the game will be delayed so everyone around the world will know the reason why it has been delayed.

I'm literally laughing at all those people who think that invading Old Trafford and showing vandalism on live TV is something that will make Glazers sell the club.

You're embarrassing the club we all love, you're devastating the ground you "love".

Two hundred drunken idiots have just made Glazers sell the club? Are you serious?

They've embarrassed the club, that's it.
You're right. Green and gold scarfs is the way to out the glazers.

If they were respectable fans and not this collection of chav scum then it would be impactful. As it is they are just an embarrassment and all they will achieve is getting Liverpool into the Champions League.
'Chav scum'? Judgemental much? Never go full Partridge.

Shame to see that geezer smashing camera equipment up but you'll always get a few overexcited at these types of things. Nothing has worked to date - this will get column inches for days and lead to bigger conversations around club ownership. I say good.

Have you ever been to Old Trafford? I can’t imagine any proper supporters being against this. They’ve bled the club dry and refuse to invest in our stadium.

I imagine you could get in Downing Street if 200 people wanted to. Although a stadium can’t be that hard to lock down given most ways in are pretty small

It's as clear as day that a lot of you couldn't give a toss about the football club. Moaning about a delay, points being docked, punishing the players, making the club undesirable for future signings etc. are all so minor compared to getting the Glazers out.
If what happens today actually got them out I doubt anyone would be upset. Some people rocking up at the stadium and causing the cancellation of a match isn’t going to convince businessmen to sell a cash cow. It’s as clear as day that anyone that thinks otherwise is a fecking idiot.

I only have respect for the protesters there. They are the real heroes. Risking themselves out there for the club that in dire need of change from above.

Since the Glazers took over and stole 2 bils from the club we are becoming worse and worse. Agree 100% with what Gary Neville just said about the leeches ownership.

All for the aims but not sure this is the way - will just harden the resolve of the owners, supporters will be banned, and we're likely to get points deducted.

The only thing that might work is if the league get tough and relegate us! Then the Glazers would likely go - worth it?
I feel sorry for theplayers.. and the coach who have worked hard the whole season.. I am not for vandalism and breaking property but if this protest goes on for multiple games maybe somebody will listen as the clubs valuation will start to be Impacted

That would be a shame but if it’s required to have any impact then so be it? That would be on the FA though, and they were staunchly against the super league and therefore the Glazers, so it’s on them to show some understanding.
Exactly.

The green and gold campaign didn't have anywhere near the desired effect, so the fans have decided to step it up a notch or two this time around. Vandlism is perhaps a little much, but it's a sign of how strongly the fans feel about getting rid of our owners.

Will someone tell me how is this protesting against Glazer and not embarrassing our club?

The overall message is quite clearly against the glazers. If you didn’t expect a few to take it too far then you are naive.

All of my Arsenal supporting mates are giving us a big respect.
Arsenal are in the same boat as us, owners that care nothing about the club, just the money it makes for them. This ESL was not for the benefit of the club, it was for the benefit of the owner.

I don't agree with his opinion either, but there's no need for shite like this.

Having scum breaking cameras like that isn’t sending the right message, it just makes United fans look like yobs, that’s not going to help.

They have illegally entered the stadium! Are you saying everyone can break in wherever they want?
I'm saying protest has be disruptive.

As for "everyone can break in wherever they want?" Dont be a drama queen I'm saying that after 16 years of protest nothing has changed, so the level has had to increased.

No large protest is free of idiots, I'm not sure what you're trying to insinuate from this.

There is a need, if you’ve been you’d better realise how the lack of investments is hurting the ground more than a few protestors taking corner flags.

99% of those in attendance today are generational United fans who fill terraces up and down the land - and further afield - wherever and whenever United play. Yet we have bleeding hearts here condemning their actions, the same people who have never set foot in Manchester before, let alone the ground. Go figure.

We have the best supporters in Britain, bar none. If any fanbase can eradicate a parasite, it’s ours. Well in, lads.
Sticky this post. Excellent. Fully behind the fans.

How do you "obedients" think sitting at home and telling people how mature you are on the internet does?

This is just about the biggest, loudest and hardest hitting statement United fans could have made against the Glazers. Descending on the stadium in our thousands, breaking onto the pitch, showing that our desire to be rid of them is more important than a game against our biggest rivals, even if it meant City being handed the title today. I honestly can't think of a more powerful message.

Every news outlet on the planet is going to report this and show these images. Not one sponsor or commercial partner will be able to ignore it. And yes, on it's own it might not be enough - but then we do it again. Keep doing it and keep disrupting games until broadcasters and sponsors start stepping in.

But sitting at home and throwing shade at the people actually trying to do something is pathetic. Trying to take some sort of moral high ground while doing so is even worse.

It's a shame that some of those involved have to take it too far. I'm hearing some unpleasant stuff.

Hope the game is called off.

It's all Lindelof's fault. He is backing away from everything all the time.
