Gary should have rinsed Souness then. Bit disappointed he didn’t go after him.

I have no problem with breaking in, provided no damage is done. I won't condone any kind of violence or destruction, but the break in is certainly worth supporting for me. Civil disobedience is one of our last remaining options.
Do you know breaking in is a crime? That goes beyond civil disobedience, it's trespassing on private property. But how can I reason with logic like this?

Neville thinks the protest is mainly because of the esl. It’s not, it’s the fact the glazers have put us in mass debt, they use united as a cash cow. They don’t upgrade the stadium, our training facility is behind a fair few others. Not winning major honours.
Etc etc.
As I said in the matchday thread, this was the final straw. It mobilised the fans. United and Arsenal fans it runs much deeper than just the ESL.

Fans might make a point in getting the game cancelled. But unless they do the same every week, this will already be forgotten in a few weeks and will in the end make no difference at all.

Not only people living in Manchester understand history.

Sorry, but I've come across such argument too often - you're from Poland, you don't understand. The biggest difference between me and local fans is that I don't get drunk and don't invade the pitch.
I made absolutely no mention of where you are once. Im in New Zealand, Im not a local fan. Im just like you, a fan living in another country.

You are a fecking disgrace & a massive part of the problem. There are thousands and thousands all over Manchester you Glazer ****.
Nice one. I enjoy the discussion on here.

To say they're just 200 drunken idiots is very narrow minded. I'm going to hazard a guess that you've never met local united fans like this who love the club and will always be united fans.

'Devastating the ground' - that honestly made me laugh out loud.
Local fans, yeah, true reds who can express their view on the club - others can't.

No. It was Sky Sports - a major broadcast partner who are in a position to pressure the Glazers into selling. You want to laugh at and belittle efforts of fans as non effective, but you also want to criticise fans for targeting the very organisations who can be effective.

Easy to see who you're rooting for in all this.
And because of money from Sky Sports you could celebrate Barcelona in 1999 or Moscow in 2008. Do you realise that?

Souness hates United. He's also a massive Tory - doesn't want the masses rising up against the billionaire asset strippers. He has two dogs in this fight.

Chilean miners are currently raising funds for the rescue mission for that particular low bar

Really this is why the Glazers win
People wouldhave talked about the protest anyway. Because it's United. I don't get his point.

I am happy with the protest. Anyone moaning are the big reason why glazers are still at this club. Glazers are a problem that need to be eliminated from this club.

The same people who are moaning about these protests are the same ones that moan that they have got nothing going on in their lives. They're afraid to be leaders and are nothing but sheep

...but only regarding their plans for the ESL. Doesn't really fit the tune, unfortunately.
He seems more interesting in saving the EPL and English clubs then us getting rid of the Glazers.

Disgraceful by Sky letting Souness just spread blatant lies when he has no idea what he was talking about

Interesting to see what this results in. This is the kind of thing that brings attention and change, not twitter campaigns and keyboard warriorism. Saying that, watch the FA go and give us a points deduction.

Souness with the unpopular opinion, but he's absolutely correct. Glazers have invested billions into the club, of course they want a return. Fans are running based on emotions alone.
The Glazers HAVE put a lot of their own money in. But saying they've "Invested" gives the wrong impression.
They used the club's own profits to pay off the loan they took out, and they certainly haven't put in any of their own money to fund our transfers etc.

They take more in dividends than our yearly net spend.

You don’t have to be born near Old Trafford to have gone, do you? If you’ve never been to the ground you won’t understand how the glazers’ lack of investment has damaged it. The place needs serious investment, and if people have to act in a drastic way to achieve that then so be it. You’re allowed an opinion, just as I’m allowed to think you’re not a real supporter of the club, you’ve shown that today.
It's a 110-year-old ground, though.

Gary Neville has done a fantastic job against the ESL, but he continues to repeat untruths that the clubs tried to leave their leagues and destroy promotion and relegation. Just blatantly making it up, again and again.

And feck Souness.
That was their end game.

You think they’d have stopped at the Super League with 16 clubs?
The long term goal would have been to eliminate less glamorous fixtures. The way you do that is my making a closed shop.
There is no doubt that the end game was a European Super league being the main and sole club competition.

The concern will be that, as United have failed to provide a safe venue, the PL could cede the game to the dippers.
Won’t stop you getting 2nd but could very much help liverpoo get a place in the europa league next season so not good.
PL had done nothing when West Ham fans had attacked United's bus, among other instances. These are at least partly protests. Those were pure hooliganism. So, handling points to opponent shouldn't be the way to go here.

If the club goes mid table then you’d still support them right? We support through thick and thin when it comes to success.

If it means they reduce their income and the Gkazers can’t ask for as much money fir the club then we might, might just avoid becoming tinsel on a Saudi tree. Someone might buy us that isn’t a murderous regime looking to propagandise an image of reform.

Otherwise we either stick with the Glazers that’ll continue to suck the club dry or we‘re sold to a load of shite.

Take the pain on the pitch to recover he club off it.
I would continue to support, yes, but I think ultimately the better way would be to put pressure on the government to actually implement these fan ownership models.

How can anyone reason with your logic? You dont understand what protesting is and you clearly dont understand why protesting has been so important throught history in improving the lives of those in need. Do yourself a massive favour and spend a couple of hours googling the history of protesting and how its improved lives for centuries.

I suppose G Nev is talking of what the next obvious step becomes.
That super league would naturally grow and then not leave room for a league campaign, and then something would have to give.

They bought stocks, that's about it. But with the dividends they got, it was a great investment. Other than that, they did not invest and as Gary said, they keep it tight hence OT and Carrington haven't been updated
