What do you suggest?Horses for courses. In politics, it has some success but against billionaires? Especially, in the sphere of football, I doubt it will have any success at all.

Erm, we literally did it last season. Teams do it routinely.I agree that tomorrow is the easiest but sorry it's not a good precedent. They've never asked anyone to play Monday Night Football and then Thursday... especially when we have to fly to Rome - that's the difference to Sat to Tues...
Protest outside the stadium. The game will still go, and the protest will still get coverage. So what should fans do instead?
Is it safe. You wouldnt think so bearing in mind what one poster on here keeps harping on aboutThe team is leaving the hotel
The whole coverage on TV2 was great.I really liked a segment of todays studio broadcast on norwegian TV2 where Simen Møller talked about the reasons for doing this. He even mentioned the term sportwashing, clearly referring to Manchester City, the Glazer ownership (vacuming money out of the club), Kroenke doing the same etc and even went on an said that the amount of money fans pay for this product is beyond belief. He even lashed out on his own employer TV2 for charging norwegian people about £60 pr month for a subscribtion. And we can't even watch two games at same kick off time for that amount of money. TV2 get to decide which game you get to watch.
Good lad.
I see the odd logistical problem with this...If you really want to make a difference, show up for the Thursday night Tampa Bay Home Opener. The US press will be there to cover the Super Bowl Champions. They feel no pressure sitting in Tampa when they see the proests so far away from them. To make a difference the fight has to be taken to Tampa
It wouldn't have got the same coverage. Let's be honest here.Protest outside the stadium. The game will still go, and the protest will still get coverage.
I'd rather us be relegated and be rid of the Glazers than join a ESL in 3 or 4 years time to be honest.Make a stand by hurting the club commercially? Ensuring that we lose sponsors and our market power? Look at Blackburn Rovers and how that ended - we may end up in a similar trajectory although the probability of that is really low. If a single protest like this can descend into violence and vandalism then guess what will happen later?
I don't understand how any of this will pressurize Glazers to sell really. All this is doing is disturbing the players and the manager. Glazers will sell when they get a buyer willing to pay their price, else they will be happy to keep drawing dividends. Nothing fans do in England is going to ruffle their feathers in Florida.
It’s honestly like people have never watched a non Premier League game. A flare got thrown onto the seat covering at Old Trafford and everyone is crying. One of the last games I went to abroad a firework got aimed onto the pitch (not that I’m condoning that).Yes and candlelight vigils. Flares and fireworks should be standard...I love Turkish fans.
I don't disagree. Who gives a shit about broken cameras. It's innocents getting hurt that is unacceptable. I think the idea of boycotting matches and not buying United shirts/memorabilia - hitting the Glazers financially where it hurts is a better path. Mobilize large scale peaceful protests outside the ground. Organize large scale and united but peaceful protest actions by fans in the ground before and during matches. There are a lot of things that can be done to get attention and win support for the movement. I think getting the government on board with legislation is also a great tactic but I don't think you can really legislate a business owner out of owning a company or business without being very creative.Violence is never the first solution and it's never a solution for something as "trivial" as football when you look at the grand scheme of things.
However, hashtags and the green and gold campaign aren't helping so something needs to be changed in the fans make their feelings known. As long as they protest and not harm any human being or the property of innocent bystanders, I am fine with it. Breaking a few cameras barely makes any difference even though that's not required either.
Getting a game of this magnitude postponed is a huge first step and if this can be now leveraged, it will finally start a movement against those leeches.
Not on the same level.Protest outside the stadium. The game will still go, and the protest will still get coverage.
Yeah trueSky were more than happy to whip fans up into a frothing rage in order to get the ESL cancelled, but when it spills over and starts affecting their bottom line they put their hands up and start going "woah, let's calm down there"
Today has proven that stunts like this work, the difference in coverage and attention on the issue is massiveProtest outside the stadium. The game will still go, and the protest will still get coverage.
Assuming West Brom would be prepared to change though. But that does look like the most logical move.Damn I've spotted the most likely outcome.
Moving Liverpool v West Brom forward 3-4 days meaning we can play Liverpool May 15/16
Why weould we want supposed fans like those there today to have even a sniff of getting some sort of say?It is a good point but it is not an elephant in the room. It is regularly discussed on the forums and people generally want fan ownership.
Yes. Have to say that I was particularly interested in both what and the way Carriger spoke. He sounded more like a football fan than an ex Liverpool player. Same for Gary Neville.Sky are cnuts.. they were anti ESL due to it supporting their agenda now the same fans who were against the SL are stopping games and being painted as villains. At least Neville and Carragher are sticking to their beliefs....and to think folk on here thought Neville was undoubtedly agenda driven.
English is presumably not your first language so you get a pass on this oneThe only thing missing today was someone planting a stake in the center of the pitch with a mannacun head on the top.
I know for a fact English is you4 first language so no pass for you!Yes. Have to say that I was particularly interested in both what and the way Carriger spoke. He sounded more like a football fan than an ex Liverpool player. Same for Gary Neville.
Completely different to Souness who couldn't resist digs at United and its supporters. Nasty piece of work.
Haha the thought was thereEnglish is presumably not your first language so you get a pass on this one
Is this real? That's outrageous!
West Brom won't have any say.Assuming West Brom would be prepared to change though. But that does look like the most logical move.
From a personal point of view, tomorrow would mean me missing the game. I'm working Weymouth V Barnet tomorrow.
Good luck! You have a knack. Hope you have a good co-commentator to work with!Assuming West Brom would be prepared to change though. But that does look like the most logical move.

Joel - are you sure they broke the lock? It can't be fixed with a screw of something. A new lock is too expensive. Maybe we can buy an over priced iron slab and mould it into a lock?Accountant giving Joel a paper report of the number of buys the match had today.
Joel - what do you mean zero, the game was called off
Accountant - There is more bad news sir. The fans broke a lock on the door in the tunnel which will need replacing
Cheers mate. Yeah I have a guy called John Waldock that does co-commentary. He's an ex Sunderland youth product but he played over 500 games for Weymouth.Good luck! You have a knack. Hope you have a good co-commentator to work with!
There seems to be a lot of hysteria on this forum right now.
The bigger picture is we are living through history right now, the fans have managed to postpone a game and have had their voice well and truly heard, never before has this happened like this in the premiership.
This HAD to happen, and I'm glad it was United fans who took the leap first. Hopefully others will follow.
The game is nothing without the fans, it's time the owners realised this, hence the 'we decide when you play' chants, the fans should always have the power over money.
Yes there were some actions today which paint a poor light on the proceedings, but these were small in comparison to the main outcome, so don't let them dictate the main focal point of all this.
And please stop with the hysteria, the outrage over people throwing a flare, or jumping on the bonnet of a car, and please concentrate on the important aspects of this protest.
Hold my hands up. I thought it didn't look right and should have checked first.I know for a fact English is you4 first language so no pass for you!
Poor guy.
That is so unreal. They really cut him off!
Oh dear you've let yourself down thereI know for a fact English is you4 first language so no pass for you!
