Came across this George Best and Harry Gregg anecdote today which I had never seen before (at the end of the quote, the start is obviously known to everyone)

He is sometimes referred to as "The Hero of Munich" for his actions in the aftermath of the Munich air disaster, pulling his teammates – including Bobby Charlton, Jackie Blanchflower and Dennis Viollet – from the burning plane.Among others he helped were Vera Lukić, the pregnant wife of a Yugoslav diplomat and her two-year-old daughter, Vesna, as well as his badly injured manager, Matt Busby. George Best, who used to clean Gregg's boots, said, "Bravery is one thing but what Harry did was about more than bravery. It was about goodness."

I am considering it if I reach the final but would recommend you to do it as well. Sounds like a fun exercise.

I am a bit surprised you haven't sold Gullit yet. I love him as much as the next guy but 150 mn is way too steep.

He is a personal favorite of everyone. But for Gullit's 140 mn and 60 mn reinforcements, you get 2 super legendary goats. No question you should sell.

Well I did watch you Scholes off the ball video recently and might use it in the game, but there is no way you will love mine more than Synco's. Its almost like he is building a beautiful team to just please you :lol: and partially me (by bringing back Zebec)

How much if you re-buy Gullit? 100m? So you sell him to the bank for 130m, and just re-buy him for 100m. You get 30m surplus. Easy money, man.

I think you can only buy players for what they were originally purchased for so Gullit will always he 140m - which makes sense I think as some of the original prices were too low for certain players (eg Ronaldinho) and the market corrected it.
