Luka's 3 ball not falling, this is gonna be difficult for them to win with Leonard on Luka like this. Btw Dallas' big men are useless. Can't get anything going in the post despite playing against a small line up.

They're doubling up on Luka forcing him to get rid of the ball

There was Dame's performance then this one by KL. Elite performance by the two time NBA Champion.

Dallas just has gone cold and Clippers are on the attack.

Dallas are mental babies, they can't finish the job despite multiple tries. Fully expect them to be smashed in game 7.

How utterly horrible has Porzingis been this series? Remember last year when people said his injury was the reason the Clippers ended up winning, and with good reason because he was great in those first 3 games. He's fallen far since then.

Can someone explain why Jason Kidd always gets linked to job vacancies when he was underwhelming as a coach for the Nets and Bucks?

Not emotionally wound up, I just think it’s a non issue on which way too much emphasis is being put on, but I can understand why some would be upset about it.

E.g. the “congratulations lines” in the NHL on ice are great and all but I could easily understand someone who wants to feck off, shower and congratule the opponent afterwards privately. Not congratuling or acknowledging it at all would be wrong but I don’t think LeBron did that at all.

NBA players have always congratulated opponents on the court before walking off. It takes less no more than 20 seconds to do it in a classy manner and then exit. Jordan did it, even when he didn't want to. Magic did it. Bird did it. Hakeem did it. And any all time great would be expected to do the same.

In this instance, LeBron was openly taunting and mocking Crowder and other Suns players at the end of game 3 when the Lakers seemed to have all the momentum and Phoenix looked as though they had no chance to win. He then left his teammates with minutes left on the clock in game 5, and then stormed off the court in game 6 rather than simply shaking his opponents' hands.

It isn't surprising that the basketball world is reacting the way it is, and that the Lakers are getting criticised for their conduct in game 3 , while LeBron is getting criticised for his actions after the series concluded.

This has been a great series honestly

Kawhi, monster

And for once Shaw was right: if multiple mavs score in double digits but Luka doesn't go nuclear, the mavs lose

The Timberwolves must be particularly happy that they didn't do what most people wanted and picked their head coach during the season instead of the offseason, otherwise Finch would probably be a hot candidate for at least the Blazers and Celtics.

Also why is Lillard publicly lobbying for Jason Kidd instead of Vanterpool? He was happy to take a shot at the Timberwolves for not appointing him.

In this case, Kidd is a prime candidate for the Blazers job because like Dame he grew up in Oakland and the two have known each other for years.

I was wondering the same about Vanterpool, was expecting him to be the frontrunner given the publicity he got after the Wolves hired their new coach.

Just watched Mavs Clippers from last night. I know everyone hates the Clippers, but I actually think they’ve been incredible through the series. They would be through already if the Mavs hadn’t had 2/3 games shooting at laughably amazing rates. Even if they lose Game 7, I don’t think it’s quite the disaster that it will be painted at.

And if they win Game 7, they would be my favourites to come out of the West.

He chased rings almost 10 years ago when he joined the Heat and that’s it. Isn’t Durant chasing rings? Harden? Garnett? AD? Allen? Kawhi? Actually isn’t that the point of playing in the NBA?

He’s also shown plenty of loyalty to the Cavs because of the hometown connection, and I doubt he’ll ever play for another franchise again.

I’m sorry but that’s a poor post all around imo. I can easily agree that he’s a diva and does daft things and makes it about him sometimes, all true, but the points you mentioned are non-issues.
Cf my post about Lebron being the originator of this IMO (and he didn’t just ring chase with the Heat, he was trying to build superteams with the Cavs and the Lakers as well).

Free agency obviously changed things too and there’s a lot to be said for greater player autonomy. But I miss the old NBA when a player was drafted to a team and tried to win a title with that team. And if they didn’t manage it, they didn’t manage it, no big deal, you could still go down as a Hall of Fame player.

In those days the ring chasing happened at the end of a career. Now players are looking to do it smack bang in their primes. Props to Giannis for staying put in a small market.
