Romano is just not a good source for us. Not only does it feel like he's recycling what other journalists have said, it also feels like he's recycling his own tweets. I swear he's posted that very same "info" with little tweaks at least a dozen of times between last summer and now.

Really? Thats his in the next days news? Recycling of everything thats been said elsewhere the past few days?
I'm really starting to wonder if this guy knows as much as people think he does
He was the only one pushing LFC going in for him as well and now its presented as news that theyre not?

90m euros is an obscene price if that's what Dortmund are asking for.

Even 70m is risky, but 90m really takes the biscuit.

He better deliver because we probably aren't singing many other players.

Or maybe he's right and we're not really doing much to be reported.

Romano does/did have sources, but nowhere to the level he proclaims and people give him credit for. He piggy backs on others info over and over again, almost blatantly at this point. Fair play to him though, it's working.

Maybe... It's going to be a long summer really isn't it. I just hope we get this wrapped up asap.

Surely personal terms wouldn't be much of an issue if, as he reported last year, they were all agreed early on. There can't be much difference now?

Still, better coming from him than the MEN. Seems like we’re better following the English journalists in this saga like The Athletic, they are getting information much faster.

Romano is very quick for the Italian league but naturally not so much for the English because of the contacts he has, don’t think it means he’s a fraud.

He never had any sources, except di marzio.

It is only the newbie muppets who keep falling for his repetitions.

Mohamed Bouhafsi seems to be the most reliable although I don't know if he's well connected to German football. Whenever he says something is happening, it happens.

He's exposed himself the past couple of years.

His method of approach is to tweet about something 20 minutes after it's been broken by another journalist. Every time something is tweeted by another journo, Romano is right there with the inside scoop within the hour. Convenient.

Built himself a **** following who will vociferously defend his honour against any dissent.

A lot of social media activity on this tonight , but everyone is just repeating the same un-sourced gossip we have been hearing since last year. Personal terms agreed , no official bid yet , both clubs still at odds about valuation etc etc etc.

I think it will happen this time , but likely to go on well into the summer. Will his performances in the Euro's change anything if no deal done by then , probably not.

Completely agree there. But it's the fact that he tweets something very vague like he did on the 2nd June with the 'in the next days we will know more', then when it comes, it's literally what others have said. The irony is, when others say it's, it's usually rubbish, and as soon as Romano says it, it's true.

Still, as you say, he's a million times better than quite a few of the useless journos we have here!

The issue for him is that all he tweets about it transfer related information. I've never seen him write an article about anything else and. He keeps tweeting the same stuff over and over cause people keep pestering him and he needs to stay relevant cause transfers is all he has.

It works for him so I can't blame him. Plus he's being used by agents as all the journalists are. Some journos were saying Tottenham pulled out of the Conte deal while he presented Conte's side about staff and whatever else not convincing him.

Not believing it until he gets on the pitch in a red shirt. The Glazers have fecked us over far too many times for me to start being a muppet again.

Oh I love it, its wonderful fan fiction, got plenty of time for it as its a laugh. But when people pin their hopes on it I just want to pat them on the head and sell them some magic beans.
I’ll have two boxes of them beans, please.

He obviously doesn't. But 3m followers fair play to him. Repeating other's transfer nonsense as your own works.

This is pathetic. If we haven’t signed him already by the first game of the euros, we’re a laughing stock. Any sort of strategic planning from a well run football club would have had this announced the day after the europa or champions league final (see Liverpool and Konate signing).

I'm actually pretty jealous, Sancho will be a massive, massive, dare I say transformative, signing, he is such an enormous talent.

And if it comes at less than three figures in millions, it will be cheaper than anyone could have anticipated pre-covid, too. It's hard to say steal at such figures, but if we think of some other transfers in that dimension, it's safe to say Sancho is good value for money..

Some of the megaclubs dropping the ball here in letting him move without too much interference, if Barca knew what's good for them they'd let Messi leave and use the money on Sancho.
Real need exactly that kind of player, too.

oh please. How many transfers have been announced by clubs so far? And Konate had a buyout clause too, so that whole comparison makes no sense at all.

Looks like Romano indirectly saying to United fans it's not happening and continually pointing to United's negotiation strategy... somewhat apathetic.

Go on vacations, return on last three weeks of the window. It's the only way to not lose sanity. Also be prepared for us to sign unknown names in mood of Pellistri / Diallo.

20m for Trippier is the only news last days which sounds fairly realistic.

 The ability to be this negative from the flurry of tweets we've seen tonight is almost impressive. Bravo.
