That is the thing , people are cribbing about Sancho not getting a look in but fact is he has not impressed when Southgate has given him the chance in previous games , he has looked average enough. Other players have impressed , Southgate is going by what players have done on the pitch for England not by their reputation. That is the way it should be and that is why England are in a very strong position in this tournament.
England are in a strong position because they had a piss easy group tbf and any players they pick will generally be better than the opposition in the groups

Been saying it for ages and nobody wanted to listen. Sancho is a decent player but you don't get the space in the PL that you get in the Bundesliga.

I think Saka, Rashford etc would destroy that league too if given a chance to at Dortmund.

Doesn't make Sancho a poor player by any means because he's not. I just don't think he's this amazing world class can't afford to miss out on him talent either.
Destroy in the same manner that Sancho did? Something that wasn't done by people in the league's history? You guys totally undersell what Sancho did, and how highly rated he was at youth level.

In fairness, every time Sancho has played for England lately he's looked invisible. Those playing in his position haven't.

This is blatantly not true and would be obvious if you've watched him

One thing is for sure. You cannot expect him to match the level of goal contribution he has in Germany, in PL. Not even at the peak of his career.

Bellingham, at 17 years old, is getting minutes and even Saka's getting minutes.

Sancho's there to be the team DJ it seems.

The speculation and possible fear about injury has to be the reason for his not playing yet. Very strange otherwise.

Coming in now but England haven't got into the attacking third this half so doubt he will do a thing.

Midfield not supplying the attack at all.

This shouldn’t matter but I mean sako looked great, he’s made his mark.

Sako, Grealish, Sterling, Foden.

Out of them 3 who starts in last 16.

I’d prefer this tbh, I think Southgate may go with he do though

Didn't Havertz and Werner have incredible seasons in their last season in Germany?

Both looked rather averageat best against teams who know how to defend.

Sancho is quality if you give him acres of space. Without it he will struggle just like our other players do and get crucified for it.

Where have you got this notion you're adamant about from?

Did absolutely nothing when he came on. I think we would be better looking at Zaha.

Neither were rated on the same level as Sancho, or even all that close to it.

Both Havertz and Werner are young though and came to a new league for the first time out of their home country, they'll improve. Both player important roles in winning the Champions League too. So its not all bad.

He‘s up there with just about anyone I’ve seen operating in tight spaces.

Sancho is one of the best players around with tight dribbling and passing. He doesn't need acres of space. He just needs to be on the pitch
