Spinny going off injured is just typical of the way things are going in this game.
All my players in semi finals so far :).

In reality I might have half my team starting if I am lucky.

Spina out.

Berardi 50/50 starting at best.
Sarabia 50/50 starting as well.
Morata who knows I think he start, but could be dropped finally once I got him in.

I should have gone with Maguire over Stones. Had a feeling he might score. Happy for him, but picked Stones due to the yellow card and risk to miss semi final if another booking.
Now the yellow is gone so I might add Maguire as well and go 4 defensive players from England.

Shaw captain as my differential should have gone with too, but picked Sterling thinking most going with Kane.
I never really go for defenders though it is too boring in general.

I had to poker to get up the table in the mini league with my mates, so opted to Captain Maguire. Turned out well. Unfortunately I didn't had enough money and transfers to get Kane and the majority of my mates had him, so the difference is only a few points at the end of the day.

We really need to get more out of Maguire on attacking set pieces.

I think the semi finals are tricky to call and hard to gain ground.

Thus here I mention the essential picks and differentials.

Essential players
Insigne
Kane
Shaw
Pickford
F Torres?

Differentials
Moreno
Chiesa
Barella
Veratti
Jorginho
Koke
Pedri
Mount
Braithwaite
Delaney
Höjbjerg
Sancho
Emerson
Gaya?
Trippier?
Wass?

Anyone I missed here? Rice and Phillips I would not go for I guess.

I can't see much ground being made at all now. So few players left that everybody will have the same big picks. I'd add Sterling to essential.

Probably the only way to actually gain a lot would be to go with Denmark picks and hope they pull off a shock. No chance I'm doing that though, 6 England for me!

I struggle to build a good team with budget.

Kane, Morata, Immobile for strikers.

Sterling, Insigne, Torres as expensive mids.

Then Sarabia and Berardi if they play, but if not you need to go cheap danish I guess.

Berardi will probably stay for me since he is so cheap. I feel the danish mids playing on day 2 are risky since high chance England wins that game and they are left with 1-2 points.

Got all of them bar Insigne already, bringing him in for KDB.

Berardi is staying for me because I've already got 5 non-players and he's cheap enough. Might come on and grab a goal, and at least he plays first.

I screwed up big time picking two keepers from the same side of the draw. Should have had more faith in England and had Pickford from the start.

Spain team is so tricky since they go with early subs.

If Morata is dropped for Moreno then I like doing that move, but there is a chance Morata gets the second half and that might be easier to score in. Plus there could be extra time that helps the subs.

Berardi I feel have less chance to play a lot if benched, but there are no day 1 players at his cost. Although Jorginho and hope for pens, but that is boring.

Upto 3rd in the Caf league after a good day on Maehle, Schik, Kane, Shaw and Sterling - should have been better as I have a few points missed on the bench

Stupidly made my 5 changes on a whim while still inebriated after the win last night though :wenger:

Morata is a nightmare. I brought him in last week based on them first name on the teamsheet comments and off he goes before 60 mins. I think he and Moreno are both as bad as each other.

Would need extra time for Berardi. There's also Pedri at that price, but not likely he does anything.

I took Morata out :( for that other fraud Oyarzabal. Did not know he would be worse than Morata.

At least glad Spain is out so I would not be forced to bring Morata back again if he started.

Took a fair risk taking 3 Danes, but I really can't trust the lads to not mess up this golden opportunity :nervous:

5 points separating the top now. Good luck Seks Masina; won't be mad if Shaw grabs 3 assists on route to a 4-0 win. :D

Also since I did take Morata with my last transfer out I could not bring in Schmeichel. Thought it would be fine since I expected goals from England and thus probably only 3 points.

Well he was brilliant not just for saving a pen. Absolute beast.

Seks Masina had a brilliant semi final.

All he missed was Schmeichel. I am a bit suprised everyone got Pickford pretty much given the slightly different cost. Pickford made more sense, but personally did not have the money for him.

I think it is you two guys fighting for it. I expect you all to have Immobile,Kane, Sterling, Chiesa, Insigne and then Mount/Saka.

It all comes down to defenders. Go all in or diversify?

Grealish or Mount who would be a better pick ?
We'll have the official team news about 90 minutes before kick-off, and the papers will probably have the rumoured teams soon.
So i'll be picking those that are starting.

Guessing that Mount will be starting and Grealish wont so for me it'll be Mount.

So good luck everyone. Final game. I am just going to be a bit boring and go with the best picks.

Not go all in on a clean sheet with 5 England or 5 Italy players. Fair play for you lot that go all in and try to gain a lot.

Ah yeah, this fantasy footy!
Had forgotten about it, having sunk to about 7th inthe work league, and 70s in the cafe league.

Bit of an after the lord major's show compared to the league one. But good luck if anyone has anything decent riding on tonight.
And England win and fantasy footy glory is the ultimate!!

Yeah good luck for all your English people. I am neutral, but if I had to pick a winner it would be England. Happy for all Man United players to win something too.

My gut tells me this might go to pens and be very tight.

I'm guessing the subs bench is next to useless? The only reason it would come into play is if one of the players you've put into the first team doesn't play?

Yes the only reason to use it is if your guys gets injured before the game if you have 11 starters in your team.

Presume so. I actually really enjoyed the early gameweeks/group stages, but this format means it becomes incredibly boring for the final.

Then again, I don't think I'll be thinking of fantasy points at any stage tonight :nervous:

Yeah final is really boring. More fun in world cup when you got third place game.

Group stage is really fun for sure. That is when teams can be so much different.

Brutal for week1wonders. He did extremly well for a long time, but had a poor final and lost with 1 point.

With only 2 goals you either had the guys scoring or the guys getting yellow cards. Or both with Bonnucci.

He had Shaw, but Seks Masina got Bonnucci and Trippier.

Half the money then? Or did he win based on something silly to decided ties?
We never agreed on anything before hand based on ties. I said that it would be harsh on either person to lose out now because we introduce a rule regardless of whether I have it or not.

Surprised that I managed to outscore the top 2 in the final, despite being about 75th.

Well done to the winners and those in super leagues etc.

A dreadful format to be honest, culminating in the final where differences between teams are fairly minimal.
Roll on the league one again!

I think the format is fine, but Limitless chip is a bit crazy in such a short tournament.

I think they shall have one wildcard and also 5 transfers after round of 16.
