Bucks in 6 prevailed over the Suns and now it's time for the draft next week.

Anyone keeping up to date with the draft prospects this year?

Bucks hit me back till 2011

I would be really hyped if the Rockets traded up to draft Cunningham, but in all honesty, I'd be just as happy with Green or Mobley.

A KPJ and Cunningham or Green backcourt would be so good.

I don't really watch college basketball so I've just kept tabs on the projected top 5 players.

@elmo Do you know anything about Earl Watson? Booker crediting him for his development is a big plus, and I'm wondering how the Raptors will fare with Watson in the coaching staff.

Well, the last thread started with the draft so I guess this season's should as well.

Looks like Doncic is gonna fall, not sure how far though. Where will Kawhi end up? More importantly, where will Lebron be? Lakers looking likely...

Looks like Zion is gonna be number one, not sure there's any way that won't happen. Where will Kawhi end up? More importantly, where will Durant/Davis/Kyrie be? Nets looking likely for some...

Looks like Lamelo is gonna go top-3, not sure there's any way that won't happen. Where will Ingram end up? Less importantly, where will VanVleet/Harrell/Gallinari be? Astonishingly poor free agency this year...

Eh, I think his contribution to Booker's development is overrated. His biggest contribution was to give Booker the starting job in Book's sophermore year when he really should have been the starter by his rookie year. On-court plays wise, Jay Triano was the real brains behind Watson, and Watson often looked incapable of changing things up, to be fair the lack of talent might have played a huge role in that as well.

Additionally, I felt like the players didn't really develop well beyond Booker who we all know is a hard worker from day 1 and would work on his own game even after team practices. Team culture was bad during Earl and I was glad he got sacked actually.

@adexkola thoughts on the trade?
Our front office has been killing it.

Sad to see the big man go, quality player and offered a vet presence to the rest of the team. But we have a good young core with a few years in them, all for stacking the chips on talent until they mature or it can be flipped for a shot at an open title window.

Poor Bledsoe.

So ..

Cunningham #1 - Pistons
Green #2 - Rockets
Mobley #3 - Cavs
Suggs #4 - Raptors

I don't think anybody in the top 4 trades up or down. There are stories out there that the Pistons aren't totally sold on Cunningham after a less than impressive workout. It's typical draft rumours though.

That order seems right. Toronto may be a surprise. There's a few reports that they like Barnes/Kuminga.

Westbrook to Lakers… for the same deal a minute ago they were getting Hield. Things moving fast.

So no Hield now? I couldn't think of a worse big name star to go with LeBron than Westbrook. Actually would prefer Buddy. A 40% 3-point shooter spreading the floor with AD and LeBron sounds brilliant.

I'm not sure that's a great fit for the Lakers, in fact I'm pretty sure that it isn't and that Hield would have made more sense. Surely that means Beal is off at some stage before the season starts?

I think I casually bought into the narrative of Booker being an empty stats guy. He definitely proved me wrong

Hield would of course be much better. I would prefer to keep Kuzma and KCP rather than move for Westbrook who is a dreadful fit.

I just don't get how pretty much every fan sees it but we're still going for it, literally minutes after it seemed we'd got Hield.

Ugh ffs what are we doing? Not Westbrook please, I’d rather keep Kuz, Harrell and KCP + our first rounder if we can’t get Hield for that or less.

There are some benefits of getting Westbrook. But I do think the lack of spacing will cost the Lakers in the playoffs.

Russ too much of a ball hog? He never used to pass to Durant enough back in the Thunder days.

Wizards would be mad not to trade Beal in the last year of his contract but I actually think they might keep him and I also think he may well extend his contract. I don’t think he feels any urgency to win.

Looking at the offers Sixers have been making with Simmons included I am expecting them to offer Simmons alone for Dame + 3 firsts and 4 swaps.

Thanks to Kendrick Perkins I now know that parents of AAU players want their kids to come home safely from baseball camp. What are we talking about?

Perhaps I’m just too old school and expect different things from a point guard. I like Rus for the most part.
He had the occasional instance where he took dumb shots with KD on the team, but for the most part he always gave him the ball. It wasn't until after KD left that it got egregious.

It'll be interesting to see if LeBron can control him though. One of very few players in the league who can I think.

Westbrook to the Lakers confirmed apparently. Let's see how it works out. At least we got rid of Kuzma. Kcp will be a loss though.

@ZDwyr I bet your giddey with OKC's pick. I was actually hoping to get Giddey with the 14th pick. Didn't think he would go as high as sixth.

Toronto passing on Suggs in favour of Scottie Barnes was a surprise. What do the resident Raptors fans make of this one?

Can't decide if Bouknight might have been better. That's two really raw selections in the last two years.

Happy enough. Obviously would have preferred to trade-up. Suggs at #5 is hard to take. I am high on him. Hopefully Giddey can become a star but we will see. I'm not that high on the Kuminga pick for the Warriors. Seems like more of a project and less 'win-now'
