Steady on.This is the worst shootout ever. Even worse than United-Sunderland
what a bunch of wumsThey’ve been going with some incredible music choices throughout this olympics.
My favourite so far was when a clearly emotional legendary British sports climber fell off a boulder, confirming she wouldn’t win a medal in what she had previously said would be her final event before early retirement due to chronic injury problems.
Which prompted an ear-splitting rendition of Monty Python’s “Bright Side of Life”.
Actually, they were super-easy to defend for Canada's goalkeeperSweden's penalties in the shootout were indefensible, though.
I watched it for a few minutes, but I got bored quite quickly.
why not? They beat Sweden. Penalties or not.I don't think Canada deserved that. Their penalty in normal play was soft and Sweden dominated proceedings for much of the game. Sweden's penalties in the shootout were indefensible, though.
I watched a little bit of the show jumping and was surprised that the horses are strangers to the riders and the selection is random. I watched the German girl (I think) and her horse just gave up and refused to trot, not to mind jump. How long has Pentathlon been a thing? I recognise the word like its a common event, but i've never heard of an event that combines fencing, swimming, showjumping & run/shotting. What the absolute balls, its mega.
Thats just a crazy idea and I can’t believe that olympics allowed it . Overall it’s actually a fun competition though and the fact that they are ready to change with time makes it an event with great potentialI watched a little bit of the show jumping and was surprised that the horses are strangers to the riders and the selection is random. I watched the German girl (I think) and her horse just gave up and refused to trot, not to mind jump.
That seems wrong. They (the IOC) shouldn’t allow that much chance in the mix.
She obviously puts so much work into it. l liked that in her interview with the BBC that she rolled off the championship results leading to the silver with real anger. It's great she's got a medal.Love Laura Muir been following her for a while now such a gritty athlete..
Too right up against a world class field and she still performs, she was more than happy with her silver too great to see..She obviously puts so much work into it. l liked that in her interview with the BBC that she rolled off the championship results leading to the silver with real anger. It's great she's got a medal.
Nah, i get it. Must be tiring, losing everything to Italy everywhere that matters. Next we'll have your Queen kneel before Mario DragonsWhat the feck are these Italians on is there a state sponsored doping scheme going on over there, the way that guy took over the Team GB athlete wasn’t natural….
Probably going to catch a lot of flak for saying this..,
It’s just strange never seeing Italians even involved in the running races now they’re tearing up the track as well as winning medals across the board forgive me for being a little sceptical..Nah, i get it. Must be tiring, losing everything to Italy everywhere that matters. Next we'll have your Queen kneel before Mario Dragons
was wondering what the context for this wasI watched a little bit of the show jumping and was surprised that the horses are strangers to the riders and the selection is random. I watched the German girl (I think) and her horse just gave up and refused to trot, not to mind jump.

Canada won a soft penalty in the semis which proved to be the winner and they won another soft penalty last night having being comfortably second best from the get-go. I didn’t watch their game in the quarters but from all accounts it was won in similar fashion.why not? They beat Sweden. Penalties or not.
Run faster! The women doing 20 km in 70 minutes in this heat and they aren't even halfway. I barely manage 10-11 km in an hour on the treadmill!
I reckon I could keep up with their pace for 10-15 minutes.Run faster!
My fastest 10k was 47m, I’ve seen one of them things down in Dublin but only an idiot would risk injury going on it before a Marathon after all your training..I reckon I could keep up with their pace for 10-15 minutes.
This however, maybe a km if I have a good day:
The guy who won the swimming marathon averaged 65 seconds per 100m. That’s an insane pace. Try it! He did it 100 times in a row. Genuinely mind blowing.I reckon I could keep up with their pace for 10-15 minutes.
