I get the comparison but Sanchez looked done at Arsenal before he joined us, 36 year old Ronaldo outscored a 97mil Lukaku last season before joining.
Yep, Sanchez was awful for a while for Arsenal, we shouldn’t have gone near him. Ronaldo is still a quality CF and will get a lot of goals.

What a mental day. I was not initially onboard with bringing Ronaldo back while we have Cavani as I think we have greater issues in MF but after learning that he might be on his way to City, I changed my mind. Then you add Cavani not being available for so many matches due to travel and quarantine restrictions and it starts to make sense. Plus, it's fecking Ronaldo. He scores goals.
I'm sure Ronaldo will share set pieces and penalties with his team mates. At least when he is on the bench.
Maybe having him will spark something in Martial. Highly doubtful so we should try to sell him if there are any takers.
This almost means the end of Pogba on the LW when all of our forwards are fit.
We still need a fecking midfielder.

Viva Ronaldo!

Some bizarre posts on here given the levels Ronaldo still performs at and the costs that will be associated with whoever signs Haaland.

Just remember this is a player who two managers, with less attacking options then us were regularly dropping for strategic reasons. Criticise me now, but be sure to apologies later when it becomes obvious. Yes he will score goals, that I’m not denying.

Holy moly this morning I was trying to convince myself I wouldn't be bothered if he went to City, now I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Absolute legend, simply can't let the opportunity pass and certainly couldn't let City get him just to get one over on us.

To see Rashford - Ronaldo - Greenwood/Sancho as a front three will feel incredible. Finally feels like the depth is there up top to compete on all fronts. Cavani will have a big role to play too. Martial less so.

Expect to see at least Lingard, Amad or Dalot now leave as the club won’t be able to register everyone as it stands.

That's what we will probably do as well. He is 36 anyway.

So, your point is?

For strategic reasons I think he's probably better than having Martial up top.

One was a defensive loser and the other wasn't capable.
