At the end of his contract, he will have played just one less season with us than Madrid which is a bit crazy.

Still can’t believe what happened yesterday, the TRA section at OT for the Newcastle game is going to be mental.

I would've been more excited had it been Ronaldo from 5 or so years ago. But still this is a massive signing.

I can already see him bringing more movement, positioning and threat up front from what martial could ever dream of.

And the influence and advice Ronaldo is going to pass on to Greenwood, Sancho and Rashford (who has a lot of similarities to Ronaldo).

This is a positive signing for United on the field, on the training ground and commercially.

Woke up this morning and had to pinch myself. Can't believe it's true. The prodigal son has returned.
Me too! The stupid thing is I know it is not normal when I wake up, the first thing that comes up to my mind is Cristiano joining us. That's the effect football has on me. It's not normal, I know. But I do not care.

VIVA RONALDO!

So signing Ronaldo makes OGS a coward? Get a grip mate, we just re-signed a former United great and still one of the best at what he does in the business. If this is your reaction to that, where do you find any enjoyment in football as a whole?
I just don't get some football fans these days. Some are just so mechanical. What is the joy of football if not for the fanfare, the emotions, the stories!?

Still buzzing. I don’t care about his performance levels. This is romanticism raised to a 1000. Seeing all the players giddy about this just makes this even sweeter. Everyone around the club will be buzzing.

Absoloutely buzzing. Hes a living legend and still damn good despite his age

Also consider the immense impact hes going to have on the dressing room and the younger players like Greenwood and Sancho

Sanch, Varane AND Ronaldo. What a fecking summer this has been

Does anyone disagree? He's worse than he was in 2011 (where he scored 60 goals in 55 games), and we are still nowhere near favourites for the title. So he makes a fair point.
Yes I disagree. If Lukaku who scored less goal than Ronaldo in Italy makes Chelsea title contender then Ronaldo does the same for United. To bring out that he isn't what he was 10 years ago is stupid way to make an argument.

Absolute madness that this happened. Who’d have thought we could pull something like this out of the hat so quickly.

This is a 36 year old Ronaldo. What we are getting. He's still lethal, faster than most 25 year olds and has such quick feet and dribbling technique.

Any chance he'll translate SIU to English? maybe he'll jump and the fans shout "GET IN".

Am I the only one who is not convinced that he will actually improve Utd as a team? He didnt make Juve a better team, why is everyone assuming he will be successful here?

He doesn’t have to be 2011 level to be the best striker in the league?
I’m sorry but we can’t add Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo to the second best team in the league last year and be nowhere near favourites for the title.

This is the type of video i was looking for, thanks for sharing!

Him being in and around the box will attract at least 2 opposition players at any given time, with 1 of Bruno/Sancho/Pogba likely supplying him the ball, and 1 of Bruno/Sancho/Pogba/Greenwood/Rashford/Martial being left wide open for a pass when he's surrounded by defenders.

If we work on our movement off the ball and one touch passing, there's no reason why we can't score a lot of goals.

BT sports just uploaded our 2008 champions league celebration video and I am tearing up seeing Sir Bobby Charlton refusing to wear the winners medal. Sorry for digressing but we really need to win something for him this season. Hope Ronaldo does it for us.

Could be absolute carnage if we play him correctly and supply him with the chances that our other players are really good at supplying already.

Could easily be a 20+ goal output in the league.

Shaw gonna be pinging balls to him all game. Shame AWB can’t cross though.

We would've won our last game with him in the team. We miss a lot of chances. He will increase our chances of winning games simple as that.

It's not that simple though is it? Champions City have added a 100m+ player, CL winners Chelsea have fixed their one real weak spot with Lukaku and are actively looking to get more players in (Koundé, Saul) while their squad was arguably already stronger than ours, so while we may have gotten closer we're definitely not clear favourites in my opinion. We still have a glaring hole in midfield whereas City and Chelsea don't have such a hole in their squads. Having said that we should definitely be challenging across the board.
