Let's keep our fingers crossed, because it would not surprise me.Luckily that won't happen.

Well, there is quite a big question. Mainly in the fact City, Chelsea and Liverpool also have very good teams.DDGThat side wins the league, no question.
AWB Varane Maguire Shaw
Fred
Pogba Bruno
Greenwood Ronaldo Sancho
You think Ole will say Ronaldo needs 10 games to settle?Let's keep our fingers crossed, because it would not surprise me.
Wee Fred at the top of your Xmas tree all by his lonesome? If we were going to rely on something like 3 across the front, wouldn't it be simpler/better to just go 433 and play Pogba in his favorite position?DDGThat side wins the league, no question.

Ole will bench Ronaldo and spend the day reading the Caf. It's not the game he's watching on the bench, he reads the matchday thread. You think Ole will say Ronaldo needs 10 games to settle?
These other sides you mention are irrelevant since they're playing for second place, mate.Well, there is quite a big question. Mainly in the fact City, Chelsea and Liverpool also have very good teams.
You've also ignored the fact Pogba in the double pivot hasn't worked in the 5 years we've been trying it so not sure why this would suddenly change by leaving Fred as the sole midfielder with no assistance.
Pogba's favoured position is the ultimate question, isn't it? Last time I trusted you, I had my throat torn out...Pogba's favoured position is the ultimate question, isn't it? Scientists say that solving this riddle is the key to eternal life and long-lasting happiness.
Trust me.
Which is very likely the reason why no one trusts meLast time I trusted you, I had my throat torn out...
James over Pogba?Cavani will surely not start having not trained?
Can see VdB and Fred in CM, sancho right, James left, Greenwood through the middle. Rest pick themselves.
In his defence, it hasn't never worked. It's just not worked consistently. A couple of his best performances for us have come in that position. You've also ignored the fact Pogba in the double pivot hasn't worked in the 5 years we've been trying it so not sure why this would suddenly change by leaving Fred as the sole midfielder with no assistance.
Probably the right thing to do. You can argue Varane in, but Lindelof has been good in both games and better than Maguire tbf in the last game, so I was generally expecting Varane to come in after the break. He'll pick the same team but with Sancho in for Martial. Bank on it.

I agree with this. The majority of the teams would be too busy trying to defend against that front 5 than to put any pressure on Fred. And even if they did and scored a goal we would score more and outscore most games. Full on attack, at least against the teams below 6th.De Gea
Bissaka - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
Fred
Greenwood - Bruno - Pogba
Cavani - CR7
Attack! Attack!
People are so quick to dismiss nowadays. It's cancel culture gone mad. These other sides you mention are irrelevant since they're playing for second place, mate.
I wouldn't really call Pogba's role in this setup a double or a single pivot, it's more a single + double + triple somersault Hadouken pivot, thing. I don't really know what it is if I'm honest, but I'm absolutely 100% positively almost certain it will work.
No, reallly. Give it a chance.
Big question is will Neves put himself in the Utd shop window todayQuite worried about this one. Seems Adama now plays as the left striker alongside Jimenez so whichever starts out of Varane and Lindelof is in for a tough time. No doubt they’ll control the midfield too with Neves and Moutinho, so looks like we’ll be playing on the counter for much of the game.. but that can suit us.
Yeah a good day for us is Spurs somehow dropping points to Watford in the early game and then we take full advantage against WolvesI know its early but a must-win to get us back level with the other teams we are competing with. -
We're not competing with Spurs this season, so them dropping points vs Watford doesn't really matter.Yeah a good day for us is Spurs somehow dropping points to Watford in the early game and then we take full advantage against Wolves
Couldn't reclaim 1st if they win was my only pointWe're not competing with Spurs this season, so them dropping points vs Watford doesn't really matter.
The key result was the Pool-Chelsea draw, so we can reclaim 1st with a good win.
Fair enough.Couldn't reclaim 1st if they win was my only point
Yeah 1-0 win over Wolves ironicallyFair enough.
Forgot they won last weekend honestly.
sorry no you’re right, pogba on the left.James over Pogba?
He's definitely starting. No way Ronaldo's gonna start, he may come in later in the game but i doubt that too
Varane needs to start, fecking pointless him being on the bench he needs games. He'll pick the same team but with Sancho in for Martial. Bank on it.
