I wouldn't care much if Lingard stayed for squad depth, but if he's sat on the bench most of the year and we continue to struggle in the midfield, you have to question this decision.

To be honest we don't have much choice. He has one year left and West Ham know that. That's why you sell players past their expiry date before their contract run out. Case in point is Daniel James
