I bet he would bite our hand off given the chance to play with Ronaldo.

  Are these people actually taking themselves seriously or are extremely talented comedians? This wouldn't look out of place in a Python skit.
I think it’s tongue in cheek. I find it entertaining to be honest.

I thought that Madrid were broke and now they might spunk nearly a quarter of a billion for a fell that will be available for free in 10 months

Is this THAT important they get him now!

Chiringuito is an entertainment programme. Their stuff is so over the top. Not real serious journalism. They've really managed to tap in the modern zeitgeist, at least in Spain.

I dont know who is more stupid- madrid for offering nearly 200 mil when they will get him for free in 10 months or psg for actually refusing it.

Madrid and Perez have got to he scared that he's going to renew after playing a season with Messi and Neymar

That is the only reason they would offer this much for somebody who is currently free next season

Paying that money to have him for 1 extra year because he’s 100% going for free next summer. Madness.

Id take it if I was PSG that’s massive money for a player who will walk for free. Offer Dortmund 170m for Haaland and they can’t reject that.

They love new, exciting, shiny, and expensive things. They just can't help themselves.

Maybe Real need to sign up to some sort of program.

At present the last official offer is 170 + 10 must deduct 35m for Monaco. 200m comes from newspaper (Marca) nothing official
Rest 135m for 1 year with Mbappe and all that can happen in 1 year

I can understand their bajillionaire owners not caring about the money

What i don't get is why PSG don't just take the money and do what us civilized clubs do, and buy the refs
What a terrible disappointment.
They have been promoting all summer that it was closed . fecking tic tac...
And the player? we offer almost 200 million to the richest team in the world and he cannot make a gesture or speak publicly? This is going to cool down, surely cloud PSG / Madrid, Madrid / Mbappe relations with the consequent renewal

This is what would write the @carvajal post summer market but there is still time! :D
Mbappe is not going to speak publicly on this because he's completely fine with staying with PSG another season at least. The rumors are out there, and they've been confirmed by Leonardo that he wants to play for Madrid. Mbappe has done his part, he's managed to get a pretty insane bid out of Madrid for him being out of contract soon, and PSG is not interested right now. Things could change over the next day and a half until the deadline. As much as people think he's 100% going to Madrid, I don't think anything is 100% in the transfer market until something is actually signed, and there's a lot of things that can change over the course of a season, so in a way I can understand Madrid wanting to strike right away. But Mbappe is not going to make a stink over this or refuse to train, anything like that. The guy is a consummate professional and loves to play too much and I suspect PSG is banking on the idea that he might realize PSG is a much better option right now than somewhere else, maybe he extends an extra season or two to get a fee next summer, I don't really buy it but I have to imagine that's what Leonardo and PSG are hoping for.

I read somewhere that Mbappe promised Leonardo he won't leave for free. I don't think Perez is stupid at all.

If in the end he signs and his silence is agreed great, otherwise I will have missed more will on his part.
Bale and Modric are also great professionals and in their day they exerted a lot of pressure to be sold, or Cristiano with his mother in Marca asking for his signing.

The fact that he doesn't care to stay one more year or not is what leave me cold. I expected some more passion.
If he stays, I'll give him up for lost. I don't even bother to think of January.

Sheikhs are laughing in Perez face with his measly €200 M raised by poor Flo selling club legends just for this transfer. What a window

That's all well and good but hardly his fault PSG are refusing what is by all means a very generous offer.

Perhaps he could sign an extension with a 1 EURO release clause to keep his promise next summer.

I don't know which is more outrageous, Madrid offering €180m for a player that will be free in less than a year or PSG rejecting it.

I thought the same. A bit stulid from both sides.
But does it mean we have a chance to get him on a free next summer now??

Well there had to be pressure exerted behind the scenes, but Mbappe doesn't have an agent, his parents take care of his business and he has a lawyer, none of them are going to make crazy statements in the press. Regarding the bolded part, I think that was a bit much to expect. It's just not his character so far at least, even when he was at Monaco everything went on behind the scenes mostly and he was training and playing as if it was business as usual, that's not going to change IMO. I don't think he's too bothered about spending a season with Messi and Neymar. If things go as planned for Madrid, they will sign a pre-agreement in January and this will just be a matter of time.

PSG look worse off keeping a player who actively wants to leave, is into his last contract, free to negotiate with clubs in January.

The difference with Pogba is he wants more money to stay, whereas Mbappe wants to move specifically to Madrid.

PSG could have taken Madrids €180mil and given it to dortmund. There you go, give us haaland. That would feck up perez longer term strategy of teaming mbappe and haaland together.

Even if Dortmund accepted, I'm betting Haaland would have told them to shove it. Can't see him wanting to play in the French league.

Or Mbappe who promised he won’t leave for fee. If my club refused to sell me for 170m I would never renew with them.

I think there's a 0% chance Mbappe ever teams with Haaland. They're both strikers, competitive, none of them. Will play the Benzema role, it's a terrible idea a I'm pretty sure mbappe would hate it.
