That was definitely a red for me. Could have been an ankle breaker with another recipient or a little more force. His first red for the club, probably slipped just a little on that terrible excuse of a 'turf'. Wouldn't blame him too much for that.
Very aggressive away crowd to match an aggressive, physical side who look like they have the energy of Leeds while sitting back and setting up counters. Our inability to play the ball through the middle is slowing down the game, and now with a man down it will be a difficult second half. I'd be pleased if we walked away with a win.
Our players are slipping all over the place and you can see that the pitch has put in a little doubt in all our players when passing into space - we're resorting to long balls instead. These are far more difficult conditions than we'd usually expect. We need to adapt to the surface and the red card very quickly in the second half. I think taking Sancho off was a good call - he was having a terrible game. A lot rests on our midfield and full backs in the second half - and if we can find the regular ball to Bruno/CR7 when they inevitably leave space forward. A little pace in the form or Greenwood wouldn't hurt, especially if we concede an equalizer.
