The better team lost. We didn’t help ourselves though, blunt up front and Martial is officially finished. Ole has given him all the opportunities he can. No more free-hit games left.

Don’t mind being out of the League Cup, it’s not important.

Lindelof with one of his best performances, and the Bailly Lindelof pairing was the least shambolic I’ve seen, though I thought Bailly was generally shaky. Helped by not having to face a striker.

The only thing I enjoyed about the game, other than Lindelof’s MOTM performance, was Matic’s thuggery in the 2nd half.

This will just increase the pressure and I think that’s healthy.

Jaysus. Rested all our players and actually dominated the game for 80 mins

Very unlucky not to get back into the game

One of those days

Knives are out though, any excuse

Not bothered about going out of the Carabao Cup. Someone had posted about how the scheduling this year might impact our league campaign, which for me is more important.

Disappointing. Very Frustrating.

Time to avoid the Caf for a few days.. yet again.

I found that oddly enjoyable. Second half was, anyway. Couldn’t score for toffee.

Martial looks dreadful, it has to be said.

Not clinical enough from us.

Big day out for them. Never seen a team run themselves into the ground as much as West Ham do against us. It’s massive for them.

Telles getting mugged off and some poor marking cost us the game really.

Shame more of the fringe players won’t get a run out in future matches but won’t be losing sleep over this. Just lacked a killer ball and it was pretty amusing watching Matic on his arse at the end…wish he still had his legs.

Martin Tyler was odd tonight…like talking about Lindelof looking younger and then saying this was a famous victory for West Ham…it’s the Carabao mate.

Team came out unprepared, entirely on the coaching staff. Pathetic since we started with a pretty strong team too.

Feeling weirdly positive about that. Shame we gave the early goal away and we did look a bit toothless up top thanks to Martial's usual invisible Man act but beyond that I thought we controlled the game. Sure, they had two very good chances at the end when we were pouring men forward but that's to be expected.

Very entertaining game of football. Weird that I felt every player bar Martial and Bruno played well, but we lost.

Sancho and Donny had their best games for the club. Certainly Sancho. Loved his passing. Dalot did himself no harm too.

Cant say I'm too upset about going out of this cup, but its unfortunate that we've lost some fixture opportunities to play the fringe XI more

Wasn’t a bad performance, frustrating result yeah but some of you getting your knickers in a twist are unbelievable.

Forks out I guess. The Ole out brigade will be in full strength

But we should sell Martial and look for another backup LB asap. Telles is probably as slow as the current Mata. If Shaw is injured we're fecked.

Why did Martial play the 90. Should have subbed him off for Greenwood. Made no sense. Main striker not in squad. The only other one who is having a good season playing wide right while the other player in form gets subbed although he was doing decent.

One of those games. VDB should get a run of games instead of Fred, we haven't controlled a game so well since the the Leeds game. Also, Jose was right about Martial. Sell him before his value deteriorates to the equivalent of a hot dog and a can of coke.

Pathetic performance. That many chances and barely any of them troubled the keeper.

Martial looked like a conference player. One goal in twenty three games? Should of sold him when people were offering big money.

Dalot is the most limited offensive fullback with the world's worst step over.

Sancho looks like he has concrete in his boots and is terrified of dribbling past a player.

Telles, again the world's worst offensive fullback. How he scored the goals he did in Porto is just a reflection on how budget that league must be.

Martial was shocking, really really poor. Cavani or Ronaldo up top tonight and we win about 4-1.

Van de Beek is massively over rated on here. He was at fault for the goal by going to sleep and ball watching. He’s not getting anywhere near Fred/ McTominay/Pogba with performances like that

All round sloppy match. Poor effort. Poor quality. Poor management, Poor refereeing. I expected to lose this for some reason but hoped I was wrong. Quite a few second string players got minutes in their legs as a positive.
