The 3pm rule is necessary as if United were on the TV places like the Etihad would be even more deserted.
Encouraging attendance I agree withbut you then kill that argument with streaming. Fact is only a number of people can get tickets.I think it's a brilliant rule tbf. If you wanna watch it, get yourself down to the game or nowadays it is easy to stream it. But it allows lower league clubs to keep going so I'm all for how it is.
Not just for United but you could go to the national football museum. This is very much off topic but I am a bit desperate.
Long story short, I am life long fan who is visiting Manchester for a conference this week. Sadly no games on while i am in town, but I wanted to visit OT and the museum - unfortunately I am only free on Tuesday afternoon, and for some reason Tuesday is totally sold out to visit the stadium and the museum
Could any people suggest alternative things I could do to feed my fandom?
Many thanks! Apologies for being off topic again!
The tours may be sold-out, but you could still visit the museum. You never know, there may even be drop-outs or extra places for the tour when you get there. This is very much off topic but I am a bit desperate.

Where did you watch it mate?Didn't want to make a new thread but couldn't find anything searching on here.
Does anybody know pubs in central Manchester that show 3pm kick offs? I'm sure I've seen some posted before.
Know loads in the Didsbury area that show it but I'm in central Manchester on Saturday.
Cheers
Still worth a visit to the ground even from outside - walk the whole way around to see the iconic statues, Munich Memorial Tunnel, clock, megastore etcThis is very much off topic but I am a bit desperate.

I started this thread in 2013 mate! But watched it in Tibb Street Tavern back then, no idea if they still show them. Not watched a 3pm in city centre for years now but know quite a few in the Didsbury / Heaton Moor areaWhere did you watch it mate?
Its not on any uk channels.Anyone have any idea of anywhere showing the Villa game tomorrow? Tricky one as it’s same time as Chelsea - City….
Yes fully aware. Wondering if anyone showing it on Bein/DSTV/whichever.Its not on any uk channels.
Sort of the point of the (7 year old ) thread. Its not on any uk channels.
It would have been on Premier sports in Ireland except it was moved.Sort of the point of the (7 year old ) thread.
Probs not best publishing it openly. I haven't been a 3pm in Manchester in ages - get down early and someone will know the deal I'm sure!Don't want to bump an old thread but maybe keeping the few nuggets of info in one place isn't the worst thing.
For the first time in years I need to see a 3pm game in town, does anyone have any updates on the likes of:
The courtyard
the grapes
the burton arms hotel
the lass O gowry
Mulligans?
I've also been in O'Sheas before for a 3 o'clocker.
Any up-to-date hints would be fantastic.

It's a fair point, maybe I could post in the General. I'll probably just chance my arm.Ehm? They are advertising it on the street.
I don't think many places do it anymore, certainly not openly like they used to, since pubs have been prosecuted for showing themDon't want to bump an old thread but maybe keeping the few nuggets of info in one place isn't the worst thing.

Fair's fair. Mods seal this baby in concrete if you need to.I don't think many places do it anymore, certainly not openly like they used to, since pubs have been prosecuted for showing them
If you find anywhere then best to keep it in the General
I don't think the Grapes even has a TV in there anymore, but I may be wrong.Don't want to bump an old thread but maybe keeping the few nuggets of info in one place isn't the worst thing.

Burton arms is now the rose and monkey, and they only have BT Sports.Don't want to bump an old thread but maybe keeping the few nuggets of info in one place isn't the worst thing.
