Well respected journalist. I've just timestamped it to the last 10 mins below, fast forwarding through the life of a journalist etc. Kicks off from discussing Pogba if I've time stamped accurately!

Thought he was a bit reactionary after the Leicester game on The Athletic podcast. Was very down on Ronaldo suddenly and talked about how much better we have looked recently with Cavani, who has barely started games for us in the last six months.

Do you think? I don’t remember him saying that. But you might be right.

Comes across as a great guy tbf.

Full Time Devils was a good name. Stretford Paddock is... meh. No idea why they picked that name.

You need to look at it from the perspective of someone that charged tourists money for the privilege of sitting down with you to have a drink and sing a few songs next to a confused Brian McClair I guess

Definitely appreciate that he seems to not hypothesise about things. No sensationalism.

I like Mitten. He’s good at what he does. People are so hard to please.

I recommend the whole interview if you have the time. Nice bits early on too.

Yeah, it is a good watch. He’s a good journalist. Makes me want to read Evra’s book, some of the whose content has been revealed today.

Mitten is really good. Very measured chap, I really like his contributions on Off the Ball AM. Daniel Harris is another really good fella on the United beat.

The Stretford Paddock and the Scoreboard paddock was where you graduated to when you reached the grand old age of 21 and too old for the proper Stretford End, the Scoreboard paddock was harder and where the Collyhurst boys went. A great place to goad the away fans next to you in the Scoreboard End. My last game in the Stretty was v Real Madrid in the Centenary game in 78, then the Scoreboard paddock and when that became the family stand the Stretty paddock. Eventually in 1990 when the capacity was 47,000 it was time to get an LMTB in K stand,

You're you a Collyhurst boy? I swear that place hasn't changed a bit.

Marketing?

How do you try and beat the number 1 viewed United fan channel? Appease to locals and try and make your channel for the Manchester only fans.

Just a theory.

It’s a good watch. Mitten’s sound enough, I’ve been buying UWS for thirty years and always been a good read. Used to look over at the Stretford Paddock from the Stretty seats before kickoff every Saturday through the 80’s to gauge how big the crowd was going to be. When the corner filled up by 2.15pm you knew we were on for a 50k plus.

The main guys parted ways with the Full Time Devils team, I think it was run by a lot of other people behind the scenes and they didn’t like what was going on so they decided to go their own way and create their own channel.

What do you mean they're trying to make the channel only for Manchester fans?

Maybe.. Personally I’ve “unfollowed” “the number one” channel. To reactionary and to little meat on the academic bones. Much more level headed discussion going on her, I think.

Exactly what I said with the marketing. The name is a symbol of something associated with the ground. Abit like growing up in an area and have a significant monument or popular culture that is only experienced by being in that area.

You don’t really get that from ‘Full Time Devil’s’ do you.

No I understood that bit mate I meant how or why do you think they're trying to make their channel only for Manchester based fans?

That’s putting words in my mouth. I didn’t say that. I said that was probably the marketing. The content is for everyone but you sell it that way you appeal to an audience. Who doesn’t want to feel like a corner stone fan.

When flex started fan cams he use to say, giving that real fan opinion. Again marketing and it worked. He took views away from the Stratford paddock fan cams. As he already made you believe the real fan opinions was on that side and it played nicely into the narrative the Paddock is a media funded channel.

So if I’m the Paddock and your up against a Forrest fan, it’s not a bad selling point is it.

Again telling me what’s wrong in what I’m saying. It’s not a dig at any of the channels. I appreciate the content they deliver and who they appeal to.

Fair play to you. They are there to be viewed by all United fans and this forum alone we know there are numerous type of fans. So good to have the balance. Try United View too. Up and coming channel which I’m sure will grow organically.

If you weren't trying to say that fair enough mate I must have misinterpreted your first post. I thought with the bolded bit below you were trying to say they were aiming the channel only at local fans. But no worries my bad.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with your post mate, I didn't think you were having a dig at them either. I was just interested and it was a genuine question.

I think that if Steve was a bit more humble rather then closing comments for members only and sending fans who have differing views to feck off would be a far better marketing ploy.

That’s what happens when you have the club in your pocket. He does a good job at it.

Don’t know what people listen to him though. He’s been useless for a good 4 years now. Stopped letting him wind me up ages ago.

I am the sort of person who loves seeing arguments from different POVs. I wont hide the fact that I learned alot from people sharing different views to mine even from people on this very forum.

The buck stops though when people act like cnuts and Steve is at a level of his own on that. At this point I am curious of how deep the guy can keep on digging

Mark Goldbridge is hardly a genius but at least he respects people who listens to him. He also doesn't wish anyone's death on Christmas either
