We won 2/10 Vs the top 6 last season. How on earth is that a good record. You must be the most pessimistic man on earth if you can keep faith after that today

Not too late to achieve something this season.

It's on the board to not let Ole continue to humiliate the club and himself.

I’m growing more and more concerned that there isn’t any rumours of an impending dismissal. Ole signing autographs and taking pictures doesn’t feel like a man who thinks his job is at immediate risk

Seriously. Anyone expecting OGS to resign of his volition on the evening of a catastrophic result lack not just realism and reasonability, but also an appreciation of what responsibility means. This is a decision for the club to make, at the time of its choosing. He can fight it, laconically await it or work with the club on the decision on a basis of mutual consent, but for him to make that decision off the cuff on his own, with no preparation or warning, would be stupid and irresponsible.
Haha. I could say the same thing about forcibly carrying on when he's lost the players and fans and doesn't have a clue about what next. Classic ostrich behaviour. And just to be clear walking would not have been broached if he wasn't associated to the club before being a manager.

He won't be sacked. The board probably haven't even considered looking for a replacement and will probably only start doing so now. He'll likely be allowed muddle along until the Spurs game in the hope he can turn things around, and we'll continue with this shitshow for even longer.

Will he just get ten million or 30 million?
I'd be lying if I pretended to know how contract law works. I always assumed he'd be given a payout amounting to the remainder of his contract, or there abouts. Perhaps one of our more Law-savvy Cafites could fill in.

You can disagree as much as you want. One thing is the brand of football going on, another thing is shitty negativity that is just plain wrong. Yes the timing for that thread was not my finest hour, but most fans will agree that Ole has done a lot good as well. It’s just not going to work out with him if we want the next level.
We both want him gone before the nest match, we aren’t disagreeing.

Some of us have seen this car crash coming for weeks and months, hence the frustration / outbursts / negativity that you called out earlier.

Have you seen his interviews? He is like Steve Bruce, an empty suit. He will never retire! This will end up our worst sacking. Every fan will hate him, this will get far worse than Moyes, vGaal and Mourinho. Even the most loyal supporters of Ole already know this is it, it’s over. Now Glazers will just wait until we start to hate him.

In normal circumstances (which are abnormal) he would be allowed to continue I just think with the major players we have signed like Ronaldo, Varane and Cavani it just will not wash, there is a different pressure there now, I will be amazed if he is not gone next week.

Keep the faith. He's been the best squad builder and his team has played the best football since Fergie retired. People are fickle. It's totally shit to be humped by Liverpool at home and I'm getting it left, right and centre at the moment, but Ole's got some massive results against the big teams in recent seasons and broke the record for being unbeaten away from home. He's brought through young talent and will continue to do so imo. We have progressed and, while I'm not delighted with our current run, it won't last forever.
These posts remind you of that Biblical conspiracy theory that the Great Beast represented the coming of the internet.

Tbh love the guy and wish him no Ill whatsoever. That video of him having a picture with a fan sums up what he thinks of our club and our fans, but unfortunately he is now out of his depth. Has a world class squad and cannot produce the results. Wish him the best, but it's time for change.

Should just get a caretaker in right now and pick up the manager we want as soon as we can.

And don't give the job to the caretaker no matter what.

If it's not this week then it will be whenever top 4 is mathematically impossible. It's as simple as that imo.

Do not think he will be sacked until top 4 is not in the picture. This season is a write off. All the goodwill ole earned will go down the drain. Sucks but we as a club deserve it. We have no balls to make tough decisions.

We do not buy the right players. We have no right to be in a title race with players who have no will to win. Other than posting shite apologies on social media the players know they will earn the millions, win or lose.

Every contract has termination clauses. So he won't be getting his full pay for the remaining period but only a percentage of it.

Based on the comments he has made tonight, he isn’t going to resign, which is disappointing though not surprising.

I imagine tomorrow will be the day if he is to be sacked this week. I was pretty certain of it some hours ago but now I’m not sure, I can now see him in charge for Spurs game because I think the club will be shell shocked.

Yes, I can relate to some of the negativity. I have not been blind. But some extreme opinions I cannot relate to at all. So that’s why the thread came to life. I do regret it now though

It needs that guy from SSN to stand half a mile outside the training ground like he’s under an injunction before anything will happen

If he's not sacked in the next 2 hours then he won't go. This club has no ambition, they keep throwing the "biggest club" tag around and act like mid table club.

Also worrying that some fans are happy to go along with it and certain pundits support it.

Not sacking him after the awful and getting torn a new one by Liverpool tells you everything about this club. Absolute joke

Another 5 nil at the hands of city ought to do the trick, if not then 5 nil against chelsea should.

Incredibly painful watching him and his coaching team squander the talent at their disposal. This is going to get incredibly toxic - it already has by all accounts. Hoping the club does the right thing.

It’ll be too late to get anything out of this season which is the main point. We’ll drag this out for as long as we possibly can.

Pressure will be too big this time all over the Internet. Although Murtough recently said they'll ignore Ole out calls I don't think they can do it now.
This has become so big of a disaster and with such a huge backlash they just can't keep him anymore.
