He looked a broken man in the post match interview - could be the beginning of the end.......
Bullshit. He was speaking about the next game as in we're on 10-game winning streak.
The Liverpool loss was the one where all journos were gathering to have a go at him. He looked like a deer in the headlights.

This today was just infuriating, it was so casual. No one pressed him really.

Maybe I'm being hopeful but I fully expect the club to sack him over the next 24 hours. This isn't sustainable and right now top 4 isn't even looking good, fully expect the rumour mill to kick in later this evening with an announcement following tomorrow.

Surely it is damaging the club's image with them not sacking him.
Oh sweet summer child.

The end already begun, the moment he accepted going into the season without a DM. Notwithstanding his managerial flaws, not buying a DM and completely trusting McFred was his downfall. What we are witnessing is a long, drawn out and painful farewell because the board is too tight fisted to pay him his dues and pay for a suitable manager.

The fact it's only 7m and we haven't pulled the plug is insane to me. I mean that's like 1/10 a Sancho
I’m not 100% that’s what it is but it’s what I’ve read on here, compared to some payouts it’s hardly anything. Didn’t we pay Jose loads to shift him?

This was slipping, from the last few games of last season, Leicester loss last season. The scum loss, and the inept display in the Europa league final, and the Roma away game as well. He's brought in Sancho Varane, Ronnie. And basically got worse ?? There's no direction , and it's imo playing players who are not up to it. Maguire I'd drop I'd also pull out Shaw, and I'd play Jesse lingard . I'd also play a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. The issues lay with the back 4 with the swapping and changing through injuries etc . But you cannot be that bad in defence, its echoing through the whole team as every error is leading to goals . And its happening all the time and to ask for reactions in every single game is big ask. So use this International break to get a new guy in.

I honestly just want a manager and coaching team with zero connection or prior allegiance to United at this point. I have fecking had it with the sentimentality surrounding this club. I want no "best club in the world" bollocks in their first interview. Just get on the training pitch and do your thing.

If the new coaching set-up annoys or upsets Ferguson, Neville, Scholes etc then it's already off to a fantastic start in my eyes.

Yup, regardless we have to pay ole for the rest of the season anyways and I doubt whatever manager replacing would command much more than what ole is being paid (since we love giving out fat contracts). So why not do it? Maybe with someone competent in we will see a few players improve/decide to stay so they save money long term. Because if this keeps up there's going to be an exodus at the club and next summer will just be more expensive

My hunch is the board is waiting for PSG to get rid of Poch soon - which is very possible.

It's evident that for the Ole inners, it's not about whether Ole has done a good job or has a future in the club anymore, it's just about their ego. They just don't have the balls to admit they were wrong.
It would have been better for everyone if the Ole inners got to say they told us so but it was never going to happen and it never will.

This is what the club has been doing as well. Hoping Ole can spawn a trophy to save face. The cost? Three years and counting of humiliation.

Pocket change compared to what the club would lose if we miss out on CL football.

Penny wise, pound foolish.

That would be so lame and unambitious but ultimately something Woodward and his army of clowns would do. We have the same aspirations as PSG in spite of our best efforts to dampen those expectations so I struggle to see what a failed PSG manager would do for us that he failed to do for vastly more talented and settled PSG.

I can't believe I'm sat here again watching us sleepwalk through a season, the lack of ambition and desire to be a top club is so utterly bleak and depressing.

Even if Ole gets sacked now, who will replace him?

Anyone the club replace him with, a couple of poor results and Neville and Keane will slowly start twisting the knife.

They're gonna try to get Rodgers.
I might stopped watching altogether if that happens

Where has all the Rodgers talk come from?
A report from someone (reliable) said we have him on a list of replacements combined with him ditching celtic midseason.

Apparently the board likes Poch, rodgers, and Southgate. They're interested in ten hag but they're apparently worried about him since he's "like moyes"

5 defeats in the last 10 home league games now. Is there another big club in Europe where this guy would still be in a job?

That thing about not having a proper replacement is no longer a valid argument against sacking imo. Letting the players manage and coach themselves would be a better option at this point. Better to have no leadership than negative leadership.

Our manager is a fraud… I hope the match day fans who sit and cheer his name are happy
Stop blaming match day fans for decisions we have absolutely no control over.

The Glazers and the board make the decisions, not the fans.

Plenty of caretakers available. They wont stick the knife in, as he will be here temporarily to buy us time. We dont need the world class manager now, a good manager is enough. Ole is garbage, makes no sense to keep him around.

That's a repulsive list of candidates.

If he isn't sacked in the morning a lot of people will have their lives made hell on social media. People who aren't related to the club but unfortunately happen to be the friends and families of those who are.

I couldn't agree more and like you I'm at a point where I couldn't care less about the opinions of our past legends. They're all full of shit. We're a football club with ambitions and trophies to win and supporters to be entertained, in other words the 'United way', and not an old boys' club where accountability is nowhere to be seen from top to bottom.

Burnley doing Ole favours now. Everything goes for him. Wolves losing keeps us 5th, it all just fecks me off to be honest. Never has a manager been so bad and lucky at the same time. I bet we'll somehow still be in 5th come Monday and not far off, ready to go again and all that shite!

You got to separate Ole the former player from Ole the current manager.

As a player he was a legend.

As a manager he's clueless and he's one who spent 90m quid to bring the player you're so forcefully complaining about.

I was happy enough with Maguire, but he's feel off a cliff this season, disgraceful performances lately.

I have seperated them. He is certainly on his way out. He's had a disastrous season so far. Doesn't mean the players are getting a bye ball no chance. Shameful stuff.
