No. The plan should be like every other top club do. You hire a manager. After first season (if he delivered), you give him few players. And then next season the same. And next and next.
If/when he fails to deliver, you sack him.
Long term is current season in every single top club. There is no rebuilding nonsense, long term nonsense or DNA nonsense.
Spot on. All this long term talk is just propaganda bs from the Glazers to delude the fans. All they want is another pupit, a yes man. A guy that can secure top 4. They dont care about the big trophies

Wum? So speak up. Was he better than Andy Cole or Cantona?
Nope, nor Hughes, McClair or Teddy. He was a supersub who scored that goal and, more pertinently, made noises about the Glazers (before he came to take their lucre). A rather accidental “legend” all in all.

I get what you’re saying, but I think their hand will be forced. IF he stays for the Watford game (I’m praying he doesn’t) and we don’t win that, they’d have no choice but to get rid
I agree with you but this is the problem, we could easily win that game especially with the talent in the squad. Once we win, they are not going to get rid and the cycle will continue. This is an issue of appointing a club legend as manager, the board know that match going fans will be more tolerant.

It’s just sad at this point but indicative of the incompetence the club has endured behind the scenes for a long time.

Three managers entered the week under pressure and all are gone except Ole despite United having the worst performance of the lot. United are the club most cautious and least concerned with the actual product on the pitch.

The fact that Ole is still there is a reminder not to get your hopes up for the successor. No one has a clue what they’re doing as it pertains to football. We need a new manager they’ll have to deal with the systematic rot that has set in. It’s pretty a bleak time.

Look I support the guy, I just think we’re in a bad place, a very bad place, the fan base is toxic, the feeling around the club is torrid, the confidence is at an all time low.

Do I think he’s got it in him to turn it around? Probably not.

Am I going to support him/the club until the very end of his tenure? Yes.
Isn’t supporting Ole at the moment at odds with supporting the club. He is the impediment to the club doing well right now.

It’ll be quite depressing if he’s in the dugout for Watford. It’s a definite sign that the board aren’t taking this seriously at all and if they’re not serious then why should we care as fans?

When should his tenure end? Just wondering what you think.

No indication that this is happening soon. I thought they'd sack him maybe in December but possible it's not before the season ends. Perhaps before if Pochettino becomes available. Either way, it seems like it's more depressing days ahead.

Not sure supporting the club and him/the board can go hand in hand at the moment. They are doing more and more damage with each passing game that Ole is still here.

I'm still in the Ole camp. For now. Clearly he needs to get two world class midfielders. That will come. Have some faith. We've tried resetting. It didn't fecking work. I'd love to know how many people here actually goto games, live in Manchester, and actually know feck all about supporting Manchester United.

Pathetic situation. Be like staying with a shite girlfriend because you are worried the next one won't be the perfect one. All while fantasizing about a relationship from over a decade ago.

This is shit isn't it.

There might literally be zero decent managerial options. We know Ole is done. The people above Ole are as bad at their jobs as Ole currentiy is at his.

I'm tired y'all

Most of us can identify a shitty manager when we see one, regardless of geographical location.

It's a pity you can't.

I'm with you pal. I was staying in the Lowry the other night and found out Ole was in the room next to me. I broke through the air duct cover and crawled into it as much as I could and softly sung Ole's at the wheel like a lullaby. I heard weeping coming from the other end of the ventilation shaft and then Ole's voice thanking me. We have to support the manager however we can mate.

Have faith that what? That eventually he will become a world class coach? We will win trophies? I’m confused.

You can give Ole all the world class players in the world from goalkeeper to attack and it won’t make a difference.

So you're saying after an expenditure of £400m, he still needs 2 world class midfielders for us to not be utterly dismal?

As for your other comments, give your head a wobble.

To each his own but we clearly weren't humiliated by our two greatest rivals because of our midfield. Ole has taken us far har as he can, I think this appointment was to early in his career as manager, he needs to develop a bit more before taking on a job like this.

The international break would have been the perfect time to bed in a new manager/caretaker as well.
I cannot think of one justifiable reason to not sack Solskjaer. The whole situation is farcical. We are the absolute laughing stock of European football right now.

Unfortunately living in Manchester doesn't prevent someone from being a half wit who knows nothing about football or what's best for Manchester United.

BBC are now running this story under the website headline - ‘Why Man Utd Are Sticking With Solskjaer’.

The article emerged almost immediately after Liverpool’s loss to West Ham, make of that what you will…

BBC - Why Man Utd are sticking with Solskjaer
No question mark at the end??
No "Why the feck are Man United Sticking with Solskjaer???!!! #stupidmotherfeckers
