You’ve already shown more thought about selection than Ole has done in 3 years. His approach seems to be, these are my big name and favourite players, I’ll pick a formation that fits the most of them in at one time.
Yeah the change to a back three was purely down to desperation. We haven't really built the team for it, we used it and it worked for one game, and now we're back to a 4231. All off the cuff.

Well, I’m excited to finally see Rashford on one wing, Sancho on the other, and I would have never believed at the beginning of the season that it would be Cristiano Ronaldo as the spearhead between them.

    I hope the excitement lasts!

Hope Sancho has a good game. I really want to see him do well.

Of course he's in operation, save my job. You think if he doesn't get a result today and against Villareal he's not out on his arse? Even our board has to reach a point where they have to pull the trigger or do you think he's safe no matter what happens today/Tuesday?
You think he's sitting there thinking 'i have to save my job' or you think he's thinking 'lets get a win and three points'?

It would be no different a mentality had we found ourselves top of the league, just win the game.

Don't drop point ffs. That would be a serious damage to top 4 finish.

Be prepared for matic and mctom getting bypassed like a pair of broken down lorries in midfield by Watford. Everything going round them.

Forward line looks good though, lets hope we can actually get them the ball and build some pressure. I fear though we will be getting broken on at will with massive gaps between our lines and a goalkeeper rooted to his line and spend to much time fighting fires in our own half.

This lineup cements my opinion about OGS aka "Play It Safe Sam"

No matter what the form is OGS is stubborn or stupid enough to think that he can use the same players, same tactic and just "squeeze" more out of them

Expect us to win even if we only play half decently. if we play properly, it will be 3-0. That said,I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win. If we lose, even our useless, deluded board won't be able to cover the truth

We've a starting 11 that probably costs more than their entire club but this clown has set up against them because he has no confidence in his own team.

"It boils down to a little bit of what has been happening on the training pitch but also the opposition we are playing against. We are facing a team with lots of pace and strength so that is why we went like we do.

And Matic + Mctominay are supposed to counter that?

What kind of logic is that?
Absolutely none. If we win he will try it again.

Yeah, I am not going to pretend I care about us winning. Chelsea will swat us away like an adult man wrestling a 5-year-old next week. Just look at what they did to the team that pummelled us a few weeks ago.

    We need this guy gone.

Stop listening to his press conference. All he does is say the right stuff but never follow through on it.

Lack of professionalism has been a problem with him for well over a year now. No of course it’s not unprofessional to catch COVID. But where did he catch it from? Knowing him probably a party.

He may have caught it from walking into a coffee shop, but with his track record I’d say it’s more likely to have been him putting his social life above his footballing career.
Getting annoyed with a player over a scenario you've completely made up in your own head. Ridiculous.

And even if he did contract it at a party, so what? Is he supposed to hide in his house until covid is finished? Which will likely be never? We aren't in a lockdown.

We're just going with the same system, same formation, I don't see how Ole turns anything around. He doesn't learn, he's tactically outclassed all the time and shows no signs of adapting.

Why are the folks who want us to lose every game until the manager goes also so pissed off that he isn't playing our squad's greatest player in Donny? Surely the less he's in the team, with his world beating talent, the better.

Indeed, what do people expect him to do. Didn't he and Rashford continue training with the youth team while his boss fecked off on holiday?

Could have easily caught it from a youngster.

Getting 3 points to save his job boils down to the same thing. We've been terrible for a good part of the season but it's still the same team he puts out. In his head the only team that's capable of winning is todays team with Fred who would of played if he hadn't of travelled and Greenwood who would of played if he didn't have covid. The rest of the squad can feck right off .

I hope more than expect a good performance and a win today, I felt that Lindelof would struggle against big strong forwards, but he might be able to contain King.
If Shaw can shackle Sarr, then I think we can win, but I still see us shipping a goal i just hope we can win enough in midfield, to supply our two wingers, who hopefully can provide the ammunition for Ronaldo.
Watching some of the Leicester v Chelsea match, I noticed how quickly the Chelsea players moved in to a position to receive the ball, especially the defenders, we (apart from Ronaldo and Bruno) seem to be very leisurely in moving into space, so I want to see a much higher tempo from us, and us moving the ball forward quickly, with players getting into the box, not waiting for the ball to be played backwards to them.

Hope Greenwood recovered soon, but Sancho needs to grab this opportunity and really impress today. Not exactly much changes to the team but that's one person who could be a spark.
