Look at the apathy around this place...it's gone from discussions and debates to mostly jokes and jeering.

I'd say that's the biggest indicator.

It's time.

Before we move onto the next phase in this process ...doing a Leeds.

There’s plenty more tunneling to come if Ole and his wheel remain at the club

I always think it’s ironic that ‘Ole’s at the Wheel’ is sung to the tune of ‘Give it Up’

After the Liverpool loss, I didn't think it was possible to sink lower. We did today. That first half was something else.

Friend, it is not there yet.

The whole world will soon witness what a fraud this noob will be.

He will relish and savour that moment for years to come.

Add in Jaime Carragher as well.
If you listen to Jaime and Gary debate the state of United You'd think Jaime is the ex United player.
Makes Neville look like a right idiot but then again that's not terribly hard to achieve.
Carragher has always been a pretty decent well rounded commentator. I've never felt an intense bias in the way I do with Souness.

Souness is the most anti United person I've ever seen and yet today the defender inside him has over taken that anti United bias because he is so appalled at how bad we are.

Keane on the other hand is resigned. Can barely be arsed today.

Hitting rock bottom is never a laughing matter. A mediocre (15-16 or 19-20) season is one thing, but hitting rock bottom is a nadir, and often, a nadir is fatal. We have signed Varane, Sancho, and CR yet this is the worst season since 2013-14 and just as bad as autumn 2018. The club is sick and the illness can be fatal (meaning becoming Arsenal or 90-04 Liverpool, aka trophyless), with City and Chelsea (and Newcastle?) dominating the following decades.

Ole being immediately sacked is the mandatory first step.

Are you feeling a-bit embarrassment that you're still a wummy Ole in fanatic? Just curious.
No, I'm over here posting a relevant contribution to the discussion and not talking about the manager, and you've decided that Im saying something I'm not and insulting me.

It really isn't. From where we are in the football pyramid, to where we could go if this sort of shit continues, there's a LOT further we can fall yet. And that's why the board and ourselves SHOULD NOT ignore the writing on the wall for a minute longer.

Unfortunately, it would seem as if Ole is now panicking and making the completely random decisions week to week to keep himself in a job. What he wants is no longer what's best for Manchester United (hence the benching of Jadon Sancho, Donny etc, the picking of 7 defenders today). He's managing in a way that's scared to lose, and crippling us. If there was a plan - it's been ripped up now, see the weird 3 at the back changes, the desperate reliance on defenders as personnel, the absolutely catastrophic pressing, the reliance on 'favourite' players that presumably don't grumble behind the scenes... how many times have we seen this at other clubs, with only one end result.
Good post and agreed. If Ole had a plan there’s certainly very little evidence Itd in place now!

And that is not even hyperbole. I cannot, for 25 odd years as a supporter, remember a worse match, given the situation we are in (including being just two weeks from that Liverpool game) and the players we have. Liverpool was horrible, but this was a proper abomination of a performance. Not a single touch in their box for the entirety of the second half. While we were 2-0 down City just strolled around, playing around our players like they were cones. No sign of urgency. No quality. No chances. People mentioning stuff like the 1-6 against City as worse don't even remotely remember the dynamics of that game. Even against Liverpool Bruno's big chance coud have been a tipping point of sorts. Today it was over before it started. Baffling team selection too against a team without a proper striker, and leaving Rashford out for so long as well. But I guess it wouldn't have mattered. I never bought into the idea that Ole has lost the players, but it sure looked like it today.

Rock bottom will be a few weeks from now when we go out of the CL in the group stage, again.

Oh and to ADD to my above, it's turned out he played Rashford WHILE he has the flu / some sort of virus. It's just like - please lads, save my job! I don't care about your health, but we have to win these games of football. It has to be over now, surely.

This is not rock bottom.

Rock bottom is not even managing to get to the next stages in the CL and ending up in the relegation zone.
If anyone can do it, Ole can though

What are the odds of us winning the title then? We could make a fortune.
What? Taking bets from idiots that want to bet on United winning the league on betfair? You'd definitely make some money off that.

At this point last season we had 2 points more and went 15-10-3 the remaining 28 games.
At around this point last year (Dec 2 draw) my son won £50,000 on Premium Bonds and gave me £3,000. I cant wait for history to repeat itself

Rock bottom is still to come if we continue under this manager. We are more like on the road to rock bottom just now.

Yep.

Ole will still be in charge until the end of the season and the club will fall further down the PL table. This is only the start. Other teams must be licking their lips at the prospect of playing this United team that is all over the place. Easy points for anyone IMO.
Conte is now not an option to rescue this season which is now already a write off. The Conte ship has sailed. Who the hell is going to come in and do a job?

I don’t think the board are even entertaining the idea of who is to be Ole’s successor. More just persevere and trust the process.

Rock bottom will be watching Ronaldo play in the Europa Conference League next season, with Brendan Rodgers as our manager.

we could get relegated before the board realises it. They are probably more concerned about the cost of sacking OGS. They have no idea of how the real United supporters feel. With this board we are lost. United is a financial entity not a football club with real supporters

Give it another few weeks. We will get a couple of results based on individual brilliance and the press will be briefed that Ole gets one more season.
