Busting a gut to make an 87th minute run the length of the pitch, after working hard all game.

The man's lifeblood is goals.

Poor first half but did much better in the second and got 2 goals. He needs to put his head up and find easy passes in the box rather than passing to the keeper

Regardless of how this season went or will now end, Ronnie has brought us some damn good times since returning. Total legend!

Earlier today this comment was made

The issue was that he had to deal with the shit show above him who consistently failed him until this summer, ironically enough (though they still couldn't resist that Ronaldo signing which ultimately sabotaged him).

He was tragic in the 1st half, much better in the 2nd and deserved his 2 goals.

I would have loved it if Sancho found him in that counter and if he scored his 3rd tonight. 37 in 2 months.

You’d think he was the 23 year old and Rashford was the veteran striker with over 800 goals with the way he was playing tonight
Just hope all that pressing hasn't caused an injury. Kinda looked like he was limping off but then you saw him jogging down the tunnel.

Never going to happen, he’s made a career off always taking the shot
I agree when he’s trying to score goals of the season at every chance it’s frustrating but you have to accept it along with the brilliance

Think he ran a lot today. Any stats on how much ground did he cover today?

I think that would've been only his second ever hattrick for us. Crazy when you think how many he's scored that he's only done it once here!

Worked incredibly hard tonight, but I don't think it's ideal to ask him to do that much work at his age. Should be left to do his thing in and around the box, hopefully we improve in possession which will reduce the workload.

Players in and around him have to work harder, and hopefully under Rangnick, work in some sort of structure.

I laugh at people who say he is a problem for the team. What he does at the age of 36 is incredible

Maybe, but then again he's in his mid thirties. Doesn't matter how much of a machine you are. One minute you're fine, the next it feels like someone blew your knee cap off because you made the mistake of moving one step over your body's daily warranty breaching limit, and then after several seconds of screaming and wondering how you're going to survive with a broken knee you're fine again. Until tomorrow.

It's hard to imagine Ronny being like that, though. He's built differently to us mere mortals!

Yeah, his one and only hattrick for United was vs Newcastle back in 2008 I think. Scored many braces for us though.

I hope we manage him well and don't play him every game because this felt like the perfect game for him whereas Chelsea really wasn't (also, he worked his socks off against Villarreal and practically dragged us into the knockout stages).

Brilliant to have him back at OT. Hope the injury is nothing serious.

12 goals in 15 games in an incredibly poor team. Sounds like he really is the problem.

Hopefully Cavani is back soon. Ronaldo surely wants to play all the time but Rangnick has to manage his minutes.

All of his goals have been winners or equalizers.

He looked better in the 2nd half overall too.

Thought he was brilliant tonight. He's only a year younger than me but he is probably 3 or 4 times better at football than me.

Work his ass off today. You could see when he got sub off that he put a shift.

That last run Sancho should have cross it to him instead of passing to Bruno
