Nah, nah, nah. Clearly they're not good enough because our coaches don't rate them and the Caf experts told me they know everything about football.
Yeah, football is ALL about running and showing passion. Tackle with two foot and running to fans kissing a badge shows thst you are Man Utd through and through. Technique, passing, dribbling, creativity....feck that. Those players can the feck off to City or Madrid

A half with two clear cut chances. Degea made a good save on the Brighton one and Sancho could easily have scored a goal with his chance.

Brighton with 60% possession in that half and as Andy Townsend said on the commentary, United aren't pressing and allowing Brighton to pass around under zero pressure.

Wow. Just woke up to catch the last 15 minutes. Was it this bad the whole match? We are being walked through.

I'm not looking forward to Maguire Fred and McTominay inevitably getting to spend the rest of their careers at United.

Will be a long and miserable time all because we got no standards.

Missed 40 minutes of the 1st half but judging by the Boo’s it’s business as usual for us. Losing that passion to make sure I don’t miss the matches which happened under LVG before.

Look at the Brighton squad. Look at the United squad. Too many excuses being made for a manager who isn’t showing anything.
I’m not saying the Brighton squad is better, but we can’t say look at the United squad as if it’s impressive. Brighton’s players have been coached better for a long time but they’re also more ‘coachable’ you have something to work with there, they put the effort in. I’d be delighted with Potter at United, but we’d need to give him time to clear out the rot.

It's noticeable that our players don't give the ball to Fred unless they have to. Terrible in possession and laughably weak, just bounces off players and tackles. Has to be 70:30 favourite in a duel to stand a chance of winning it, which is not a good look for a supposed 'DM'.

    Piss off with this shit.

Potter will fail on his arse here not because he's shit but because our players are.

Always blaming the manager when its clear as day his ideas aren't being implemented.
It’s much easier to blame the players, but if being a football manager was as easy as just telling people what to do, anyone could do it. I’m not going to bother in the match thread but it’s his job to actually make the players to implement it.

45 mins of absolute shite, from UTD, Brighton have been stunned by how bad we are and there game plan has gone out the window they should have pushed more bodies forward they be a few up, instead they kept 1 or 2.
RR needs to bring Fred off he's hopeless, Pogba on Ronny off after 60 if nothing changes Rashford on. CM is non existent. Sancho is the only plus in that half. Pogba has to come on for Fred .

feck BT sports for not showing a game they were supposed to, havent seen any of tge half as can't find a working river.
I don't think they can show it, when it is played at the same time as the CL. They have to pick another game instead.

Maybe the second half will be better this time. United will win 3-1.

I think the opposite, I think Brighton will play us off the park and if they take their chances they will win 3-1.
That’s why you’re a newbie with silly posts like that.
I’m only joking with him he can quote me if I’m wrong, but think we’ll win.
I might be a newbie on here but I've probably been watching United longer than you.

They've averaged 57% possession away from home and are only behind Leeds, Liverpool and Man City in terms of pressing.

Stylistically they are all wrong for us.
Not sure there's any point waiting until full time to take a victory lap ;)

Because who else do you put there? Rashford? Also playing like shit. Cavani isn't here, and Martial is on loan, so as much as I agree I honestly don't see who goes there unless we grab a player from the youth team
Someone said it in the matchday thread the other day (I forget who) and I thought it sounded appealing; Bruno in a false 9 position with two pacy wingers either side of him. This would also free up the CAM role for Pogba to occupy.

Truth be told, I want anyone but Ronaldo in the lineup right now. He contributes exactly zero to the build-up play and point-blank refuses to press. He's a liability at this point.

It’s actually quite fascinating how we’ve managed to be so poor for so long, at least in light of the reputations of many of our players.

Rashford for Elanga would mean back to 0 help on the right for Dalot.

But I guess we have to go for it at some point. Also Pogba for Fred.

Elanga in his first few appearances tried to beat his man, and succeeded now and then. Now it looks like he is just playing it safe and not creating anything, unfortunately.
To be fair, there has not been alot of attacking football. And the times he has got the ball it has often been on the defensive half. Not exactly the right place to be creative.
With anproper midfield that can hold the ball, the whole team will move 30meters up the pitch and the whole scenery would change

It’s amazing that no one wants Potter as our next manager! It’s just so poor we are under Ralf. The only hope is individual brilliance or they made stupid mistake.

Forget about all the obvious problems for a second, but how the hell does anybody explain how utterly flat we are. Even a conference side goes out and looks 'up for it' against a prem team in Cup. Can i manager take the blame for how completely not arsed they all look. Even mctominay is just strolling

No his job is to identify which players cant implement it so they're moved on before the next manager comes in.

I don’t get what we’re even attempting to do. Must have abandoned trying to implement some form of cohesive pressing cause there’s no sign of that. It’s such bland, passive shit every game.

How does our midfield feel so open even when we have 3 playing there?
It feels like we are playing three number 8s with no interest in protecting the back 4

None of that absolves Rangnick for the terrible performances. What’s he here for if not to improve what we have? Anybody can pick a team.
