Dejan Kulusevski

That is the spirit. MOTD favorite for manager belongs to Erik ten Hag. He is the ONE. A full circle back to Cruyff/Dutch possession based football.
God, you’re insufferable.

People are always way too reactive. He's had a great start but loads of players do when they land at a new club only to fade later. He may become a great player for Spurs but to draw conculusions or narratives at this point is boneheaded.

Yeah, this is a classic example of this phenomenon.

Kulusevski is a skilled player with very good left foot who has shown good decision making ability on the break. But he is also playing alongside the best counterattacking duo in the league in Kane/Son and Spurs have played a series of teams that have left themselves wide open on the break, either because they're totally messes like Leeds and Everton or they're pushing forward en masse like City. Does he have the ability to impact games against low blocs or in more settled situations? What happens when spaces get tighter, does his lack of athleticism and one-footedness limit him? How well can he keep the ball under pressure and use his movement to provide solutions in the buildup? What happens if he plays against a defense that is not overwhelmingly focused on limiting the other two attackers in the trident, which gives him unusual amounts of space? These are the real questions that differentiate a solid but not very impactful player from a very good player in his position and they remain unanswered.

Surely Sweden's gonna qualify for the World Cup now? Pretty easy route anyways.

I don't know... I think it would be a mistake to underestimate Czech Republic and Poland. Think the squads across these teams are similar, more or less. Usually we do great achivements when we are underdogs, but we could be quite underwhelming when we are not in underdog position, and I don't think we are underdogs among these national teams.

Excellent again today, his link up play with Kane, Son and Doherty is already excellent and his addition has improved our attack massively.

Another player we could've done with. We just don't do clever deals like Bentacur and Kulusevski.

He was seen a big potential talent before joining juve so it's not a surprise to see him doing well and playing under a very good manager doesn't no harm either.

Great signing for Spurs unfortunaly. Only 21 too!

I am just annoyed he never looks great for Sweden.

Conte is a world class manager though for improving players.

Hopefully he will perform for Sweden in the future.

Such an intelligent player. For what he lacks in pace he makes up in decision making, his movement/runs and first time passes.

He looks excellent. Smart player, Spurs look so much more balanced with him in the side. He's got a sweet left foot.

Really like this guy looks a proper winger, we’d love him here, pity he’s at Spurs.

He's been very impressive so far, really just what Spurs needed.

I think he's probably the type of player that needs the right setup around him. He's really a 10 or wide playmaker. He doesn't have the pace or quickness to play outside in a system that would require him to provide width or threat running behind. And I'm not sure he has the all-around midfield game to be an 8 in a 4-3-3. But in a system that allows him to float around between the lines and use his intelligence and impressive left foot, he should really thrive. He is definitely the player most like Eriksen that Spurs have had since Eriksen left.

Premier proven etc..

No worries. We'll bring in a more expensive option, probably somebody more suited to play on the left but we'll shoe horn him on the right, what could go wrong?

Another goal and assist today. He is such a composed and clever player that has slotted in just perfectly. Absolutely love him

We do too for our Swedish NT together with Emil Forsberg.

So is he just this good or is Conte really getting the best out of him. Either way at 21 he is such a talent

He is one of the very best on offer from the Swe NT, very fearless and fluid with the ball at feet. Good at breaking the lines and get the momentum going forward. He offers something unique and exciting. A classic trequartista but probably a multipositional talent in reality with good spirits and can do attitude. Him managing it in the EPL is a worry erased and probably he will go far now.

Fantastic talent and spurs right now is a much better environment for him. (Providing Conte stays)

I'm not surprised he's doing well. He's a very good footballer, good on the ball and works hard.
I hope Sweden appoints a manager than can get him, Elanga, Forsberg, Isak and Svanberg working together well.

He did very well at Parma and was seen as one of best young players in Serie A. Then went to Juventus and was starting regularly in his first season and made an impact in some big games for them.

Just Allegri didn't fancy him and credit to Spurs they took advantage of that.

He looked good at Juve, not sure why they let him go tbh.

Nah, he was mostly poor for Juve under both Pirlo and Allegri. He looked heavy, clumsy and lacked any kind of confidence. Most Juve fans were happy to get rid of him, and are glad that he is doing well now. The hectic and more open style of play in the Premier League (or when playing for a counter attacking, just promoted Parma) suits him much better than playing possession football vs disciplined Italian defenses parking the bus.

People are going to have the same reactions if we don't challenge Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle for Arthur.

especially if ten Hag is our next manager. He's perfect for the "De Jong" role.

Tottenham got him for 10 million until 2023 and a release clause of 25 million. Meanwhile we pay 80 for Sancho and get less output. It's ridiculous.

Didn't United reject Davies at a trial he did few months before he joined Bayern?

United's recruitment and scouting department is shocking. It's like a rich kid in a carnival. Always the biggest most obvious names are preferred.

Sometimes being financially limited forces you to work your arse off and uncover gems and unlikely transfers.

Imagine United getting Kulusevski. He would be perfect. A left footed right winger who excels in tight spaces against low defensive lines and is intelligent enough to play balls through the defenses on counter attacks too. Plus a guy who willingly works hard on and off the ball. This 21 year old was a no brainer at that price.
