Under no circumstances is playing Conference League any good to us. Europa League is now just about tolerable.

I suppose you wouldn't mind us having a stint in the Championship either then? Why??
I don't see what is so wrong with playing in the Conference League, yes of course I want to see us finish as high up the table as is still possible, but if we end up in the Conference League, then I will look forward to it.
I quite like the idea of playing teams that we haven't played previously.
It can get all a bit "samey" in the Champions League, so a bit of a difference is sometimes welcome.
It is like if you are always eating at 5 star restaurants, the odd McDonald's every now and again, becomes not as bad, as always eating in McDonald's.
He's talking about the Conference League. 7th place goes into their play-off round at the end of August.
Smaller clubs in the competition, therefore generally speaking smaller stadiums, therefore smaller away allocations. In addition, the final is at a 20k seater stadium ffs whereas the Europa final is in Bucharest with a 65k capacity, so again, more travelling reds if we get there. Why??

There's no point entering the League Cup or FA Cup then either. If only Uefa hadn't invented this pointless extra Conference League, we would either be in Europa League or no Europe at all next season.
Conference will be just a complete waste of time if we're in it next season.
What's the reward for winning it?
Qualification for Europa League?
What an incentive.
People are scared of a little banter, that’s honestly all it is. The schedule is no different, and you’re right, there would be lots of new stadiums for the away fans. Not to mention the coefficient is basically the same, so it’s important to be in one of them. Why??

Why?If we go to the conference league, no regular starter should play. Just play the kids for experience
Because it's a garbage competition with no benefit for first team. Why?
If we are in it, we should aim to win it.
Why is it a "garbage" competition??Because it's a garbage competition with no benefit for first team.
I doubt Real Madrid will be jealous we've won the conference and beaten them to the grand slam. Why is it a "garbage" competition??
Why do you think that way?
Yes it is a new competition, but all tournaments start as new at one point.
If we win it, we will be the only side to have won all of the European trophies, that is something to be proud of, and want to see I think.
I just think it's a poor competition with little benefits. I also think it effects league form with winning it entry to the Europa league as a prize. At least EL has spot in CL for winner. Each to his own but I wouldn't be bothered if we or a rival ever won it.Why is it a "garbage" competition??

I’m thinking we’ll have a squad in a rebuild - again! We will not have a squad capable of competing in 4 competitions. We should have our priorities right and I feel our focus should be on the league and maybe the FA Cup not the conference which was anyway formed for smaller clubs to have a chance to play European football. Why?

It is irrelevant as to the reason why it was created, if we are in a tournament, then we should have the aim to win it.I’m thinking we’ll have a squad in a rebuild - again! Agreed. Europe is a chance for champions league and has some decent teams. The conference should be ignored if we're condemned to itEuropa I could handle, conference league I couldn’t.
let’s say we make the champions league? Would you start the same players in the Carabao Cup for instance, or would you rotate? Historically, we’ve always rotated. I’m using the same thought process with this cup. I understand what you are saying, but we can not, given our expected squad for next year, to compete for everything we are part of.It is irrelevant as to the reason why it was created, if we are in a tournament, then we should have the aim to win it.
Why be all snobbish, and think that this tournament is beneath us (I am not talking about you personally, just talking in more broad or general terms), when if we are in it, then it isn't beneath us, or we are tol big, of too good for it.
I would be delighted to win this tournament if we were in it, as it isn't as if on the men's side we are used to winning tournaments in recent times is it?
All depends on the draw, strength of out respective opponents etc etc.let’s say we make the champions league? Would you start the same players in the Carabao Cup for instance, or would you rotate? I’ll embrace it. Will have no shame once playing in it. We could be the first side to win the main four UEFA competitions.I would actually welcome the Conference. It will be an adventure to unusual lands and we will be lording it over the weaker sides. It will help us get our mojo back.
Exactly. We have to be in it to win it.I’ll embrace it. Will have no shame once playing in it. We could be the first side to win the main four UEFA competitions.
