There have been a few links to Gnabry this winter, but few of importance (see below). That being said, he should be an obvious target. His contract is up next summer. He will be 27 this summer. Meaning that if we sign him this summer we are likely to get him on a five year contract lasting his prime years (27-32). It would be a deal similar to when Bayern signed Robben from Real Madrid.

For those of you who dont know him, he is a right winger. In the top five leagues in Europe he is in the 90th percentile (or better) for xg, xa, passes into the penalty area, carries into the final third, dribbles completed etc. Is also great off the ball.

(Just saw the Bergwijn-thread and would not stand for it. So it is a bit pro forma in all honesty, but it is alot more likely to happen than Bergwijn.)

I'm quite sure most people know who Gnabry is.

Would be a good signing for sure!

Unsurprising as we always get our name mentioned whenever a Bayern players contract is due to expire.

yep, probably gonna be one of those things where he'll stick with Bayern, or a team that more regularly gets these big contract/agent fee "free" deals will get him. Like Juventus or Barcelona. if we did land him he would end up playing on the left anyway.

He seemed absolutely on fire a couple of years back but not as much noise about him since, has he been off form lately?

I think he's a very systems based player who might not excel in other teams, especially one as disfunctional as us.

He was great under Flick, but hasn't been the same under Nagelsmann though I think he's been effected by injuries (as the whole squad and systems played).

I wouldn't be too eager in him unless ETH really requests him.

No thanks. Should do himself a favour and stick to the Bundesliga.

He wants to play central and is out of contract in 2023? Let's buy him! Send them Cristiano and pay his extra wages if we need to if Lewandowski leaves, or just overpay a bit. Sancho-Gnabry-RW would be great.

Surprised to see no stories about him being linked to us or anyone this summer.
There were reports about Arsenal and him having „unfinished business“ there. Allegedly Bayern offered him €19m gross and he is 50:50 about it. Lewandowski leaving could offer him the chance to play more centrally which he seemingly is looking for.
Bayern will extend or sell. I cannot see them letting him leave for free.

My personal expectation: Lewandowski is sold, Mane is bought, Gnabry extends.

Can't see them allowing that with Lewandowski leaving.

They seem to be likely to get Mane on a cut price deal (30m according to reports). That would free up money to potentially add the likes of Nkunku or Schick as well.

Gnabry has already been confirmed to not renew his contract which expires in a year, better to sell now then risk losing him for free next summer. They're still filled with good wingers as it is

Fair enough, didn't know his contract was low.

He has not. He still has not made a decision!

Who do you rate most highly among Gnabry, Coman, and Sane? It seems like the club has chosen to prioritize the latter two in their plans but I don't quite understand why.

I would agree that Coman and Sané are more important/better than Gnabry. But when Lewandowski leaves, Gnabry could play more centrally which he seemingly wants.
It‘s been reported that Bayern offer Gnabry €19m so it is not that they are not showing him „love“.

Coman is the most exciting player to watch of the three for the last 2 years. Also the most consistent performer. Gnabry isn't as eye-catching but his stats are consistently good, he is a very good team player for one who is so attack-minded. he is a better scorer than Coman. Tends to vanish in the background in some of the bigger games (unless on London turf)
Sane with all his talent is a disappointment. It still feels like "aw he's still so young and he's new, needs to adjust", but he's 26 now and just played his second full season at the club. Overrated player. Unfortunately at the current market, no way of offloading him wihout taking a huge loss.

I actually rate Gnabry most. He is fast but not so much a dribbler, that is why he might be less exiting. What I do not understand is that he has a very good xA, even higher than Müller in the recent months but besides creating a lot big chances he does not create many assists. But that right wing with Pavard, Gnabry and often Müller or Kimmich is by far more productive and I think about 75% of the goals from open play are prepared via this connections. Yes, Coman and even Sane are the more exciting players...

He wants to play centrally say reports. How do you think he'd do as a 9? He's such a consistent goal scorer for club and country that I assume well, sort of like a less electric but better finishing mane.

Surprised Unoted have shown no interest, Gnabry as others have mentioned is a good productive player. There's lots of wide attacking talent available this summer also mentioning Bergwijn who for me would excel with consistent game time.

I always thought that as an alternative to Lewy a Müller/Gnabry connection would run fine, but to make that productive that would need the game time an alternative will not get with Lewy as main striker as he always wants to play. And I would not use that as main solution...

Tearing apart Biraghi, who's not exactly Ashley Cole, but still, he'd be a great signing.
