According to Goldbridge Barcelona had agreed to sell De Jong to us despite United hasn't yet made a bid for him yet. I wonder how that works exactly
"According to Goldbridge"

I've got nothing against Mark Goldbridge but I would not trust what he says relating to transfers.

I agree. The funny thing is that he doesn't even try to be credible these days.

Goldbridge isn’t a source.

"according to Goldbridge" ffs
The other week people were trying to convince me he's a legit source for the inside track on our transfer plans because he reported Ronaldo was injured before a game last season.

He's a fill-in-the-blanks reporter. 99.9% of the time he's going to have no inside information on the topic so he's going to piggyback or use guesswork to pretend he knows something.

He said weeks ago that Timber was "basically done" and we've still not signed him.

In the summer we didn't get Sancho he did a whole video about how Sancho has signed for us. He's a muppet.

Mark Goldbridge has 40 minute YouTube shows to fill 3 time a day. Must be hard when there's no genuine news.. so he has to speculate a lot and fill in blanks..

look at his United Stand YouTube channel clickbait title today "De Jong Transfer Agreed" but it wasn't agreed with United was it Mark?! He basically just said Xavi has accepted that Barca need to sell De Jong.. but he gets the view and cash rolling in. I heard he was a Nottingham Forest fan who jumped on doing a YouTube channel on United to make money. Fair play it's worked out well for him he's now a regular host and contributor on Talksport and Sky

he hedges his bets both ways so he's never wrong, or can twist it that he was right. That he was RIGHT and it's the clubs fault that they negotiated badly. Goldbridge Basically believes everything.. so we didn't sign Núñez he's blaming the club despite some journalists saying we was never genuinely serious it was mostly agent talk etc he takes it as fact that United was speaking to Nunez agent and Benfica for 4 weeks. So he looks like he was right.

Historically with these stories, we've probably enquired some time ago, been knocked back, and the media are just making things up.

Alternatively, if we are chasing a player who doesn't want to join, that is stupid.

Brace for disappointment.
I mean... you're very wrong.

If we're not pursuing a player and the links are this strong, we tend to shut them down with a brief very quickly.

What links are strong? The 'reliable' journalists have mentioned an interest and that's about it.

These strong links are random Spanish people who appear to know very little.

I hope I am wrong though!

Under soil heating.
Why is Van Gowl trying to sabotage us? I mean yeah we sacked him in a bad way but it's not like he didn't make millions out of it. Move on mate.

I'm not sure about you lot, but in my job, I regularly work on several projects at once. If one is a bit tricky, even eventually resulting in failure, I don't just feck it off and concentrate on the

Why would the club need to "brief"?

it was inevitable we would have at least one cycle of United have sent a transfer offer, no they have not sent an offer reports

Utd aren't going to launch any sort of offical bid until they have agreed the move with the player and his agent and the financial terms etc. Seeing as Barcelona need the sale for la liga financial fair play reasons, utd can affors to wait to tey to drive the price down and also give ETH etc time to convince the player to come to us.

Quoting Goldbridge now? :houllier:

May as well start posting IndyKalia tweets as well then, just as reliable.
Number 1 United YouTube channel, why wouldn’t they be fed information?

I hardly think he’s looking down a well to try and gain more views.

On what planet does popularity = credibility?

How popular he is on YouTube doesn’t mean shit for how credible his information is on transfers, that isn’t why people watch him but If you want to believe what he says then go for it. I’d rather wait on more reliable sources for my transfer news.

The United stand has a lot to answer for as to why our fanbase is now full of plastic cry babies.

Brent Di Cesare aka Mark Goldbridge leads his followers on a merry dance the his tune for clicks and views. I can't stand the guy. He absolutely loves himself and the attention he gets and it's clear he's got little to no football knowledge.

I feel exactly the same way mate but plenty on here seem to lap it up. Each to their own I guess.

My point was on information accessibility. In the concept of real life I’m sure it doesn’t have to be explained. Whether you like an individual or not is a different story.

I have absolutely no opinion on Goldbridge. I don't watch (or listen to?) his show. I couldn't pick him out of a police lineup. The only reason I know of his existence is based on him being talked about on here.

Suggesting he must have some kind of inside information because his show gets x number of hits is pretty obviously an idea that makes no sense.

Yeah I don’t think threads stay alive and are very interesting waiting for those sources who get direct information from the club when we want it out in the public.

Like journalists with a track record of providing reliable transfer information.
That changes every summer. Do you mean the tap in merchants who report deals once they are officially done?

If so why are you so upset. Just wait until United account tweets deal agreed.

Interestingly the Sun stopped revealing its daily circulation a few years ago- the information is simply not available publicly. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s way lower than a million.
I’m not really addressing the substance of your point, I know, but it’s nice to bash the Sun now and again.

That clown started out as a fake ITK on twitter. I wouldn't listen to a word he says.
