You lot are really, really funny. And clever too. Don’t listen to anyone telling you you sound like a pack of toxic bitches, with tired, juvenile jokes. You do you. This stuff is really hilarious. Not old, unoriginal, or tiresome in any way. I’ve been saying for ages that what this forum needs is more negativity, so thank god you guys are delivering. Really brilliant stuff. Luke Shaw, fat! Ha! Genius. I bet you’re all ripped specimens too, which makes it even funnier. Shaw probably needs that SUV to haul all his feed home, am I right?

Thanks guys. Complete breath of fresh air to browse the new training thread and see a deluge of “fat”, “lazy”, and “shit” jokes about our players. The relentless positivity around here has really been starting to grate.

I’m totally kidding. Your posts are all really shit. Your posts are also boring cnuts.
Welcome to the internet.

He won't shag you mate

Thanks for the training videos. Very interesting to see the players being put through their paces by the new coaching setup.

And about time too.
High quality coaching, fitness training and consulting is a vital part of the modern game. Something that has been missing at OT.

But ETH already knows that there is a mountain of work to be done.

Love it.

Training video gets released which shows routine drills done by near enough every coach (including Ole) and the Caf blows it's collective beans about how 'intense' it is

Yes God forbid anyone be optimistic about the new manager. I don’t really see the Caf blowing its collective beans, mind. But who cares if people are being positive. Much better than miserable posts like yours.

No negativity in my post,

By all means be positive. I'm all for that.

Just makes zero sense to be losing ones mind about routine drills that are done at every training session across the land

I get it, people are desperate for change, I know I am, but what we are seeing in those videos is not intense training, rather just standard drills the likes of Jose and Ole would do week in week out.

My physique is similar to Shaw's the morning after a night on the town.

What a relief Pogba isn’t our problem this year. Wondering when he’ll come back from him 12 holidays, all of which are a month long

Don’t know if anyone remembers the summer we signed him? Should have been a warning.

We signed him in 2016, the same summer there was Euros tournament that France reached the final of. The final was played on 10th of July, Pogba was in Manchester and signed with us on the 6th of August.so basically 3 to 4 weeks after the final, which is very normal.

Pogba is too hated.

Is there any actual evidence training at 2pm is better than training at 10am?

It's only logical to think that training mid-day as opposed to 1st thing in the morning would have some performance benefits.

Switch this to a match scenario, say Utd were going to play City and kick off could be at 10am or 2pm, you'd think that the game at 2pm would be of better quality.

Players already complain about the early kick off games at 12.30am so imagine what they're like in training at around 10am.

I thought preseason was all about sessions twice a day.

Pretty sure it's just the one session at the moment, if the players were going in twice a day the press would have reported it.

Is Luke Shaw fat? No
Does Luke Shaw carry more fat than the average footballer? Probably
Is Luke Shaw strong? Yes, commented on by his opponents
Is Luke Shaw lazy? Yes
Does Luke Shaw have a poor attitude? Yes

Everyone on this forum is well within their right to criticize Luke, he's been here for an eternity and whenever you see him train or play half the time he doesn't seem interested at all. He's 2nd to Ashley Cole as the most naturally gifted left back in England's history, but his attitude is what holds him back, he's one of those who wants to do the bare minimum.

In one of the England youtube videos the players were asked which player complains about everything, they all answered Luke Shaw, tells you everything about him,

I agree that the drills look pretty routine, but please quote examples of the bolded.

I appreciate you not interrupting until they were done blowing me.

Bitches know a thick one when they see one.

Your white text was also a bit boring and cnutish.

Which is insane really as he had a chubby face but was one of the fittest players in the league for years.

Fat stigma seems to stick around a long time.

Thanks for writing sense. Our fanbase is a disgrace. Can’t wait for FDJ, Malacia or whoever we sign to be abused on a daily.

it’s funny that the mods will ban you if you call a poster any names but it’s free for all to call our players names, it’s incredible.

Training is different from match days.

Players moan about the early KOs because they have to meet early, eat a big meal three hours before the game etc,

Training on the other hand is different, they can rock up, take their shakes, eat their breakfast and train without any pre match meetings etc. So I'd imagine most get into the ground around an hour before training, which is much more manageable.

There's different opinions on what times of day is best to train, most tend to say mornings but the general consensus is it's fairly unique to the individual and training in the evening is of equal benefit.

The human body is great at developing routines and has an internal clock, which is why if you wake up at a certain time every morning, you'll eventually wake up before your alarm, and wake up not as tired as before.
It's also why you need to switch up your workouts (dumbbell Flys instead of Benchpress etc...) every month because your body gets used to it, and you'll see less gains.

Your body gets used to things. If you run every morning, and post a steady 45min for your distance, then on saturday you run in the evening, that evening run will be more difficult, or will be slightly slower. Since your body is used to turning it on in the morning for it's run.

So generally in most competitive sports you want the highest intensity of training to be close to the same time at which you would be competing.
Thus your body is in a routine and knows now (x:xxpm) is when it is time to perform at it's peak.

He’s getting 150K a week and can’t keep in shape. He’s had three good months in eight years. I think the fan base are right to call him out on it. He comes back overweight and takes 20 games for him to show any type of form. You’d think after eight years he would learn?

@simonhch is not wrong. This should be a nice thread to come to. Players back in training under our new manager. Great!

Instead, there's a lot of crap jokes in here that have all been done a million times and weren't funny the first time. It's not adding any quality to the thread or the forum. Maybe it would all be better if people didn't feel the need to post their every thought on every topic
