United linked to a 6 foot 4, 19 year old forward, playing for Salzburg? Have I gone back to 2020?

Let's hope we can buy this time around. Kid looks class. I see only Newcastle are linked with him right now. Surely he would pick us ahead of them in case we make a move. Surely? :nervous:

You’d think so, we’re basically saying ‘come in and replace the most famous footballer who ever lived. If you’re not playing every week it’s because Anthony Martial somehow wanted it more.’

Either that or go and live in Newcastle. I know what I’d pick.

He doesn't need to play week in week out (replacing Ronaldo). He only needs to be a dependable 2nd choice this year. Let's be honest, Ronaldo isn't getting any younger and we only finished 6th last season even with him.

I don't have much expectations from this year anyways. I'm fully prepared to give Ten Hag this season to get his ideas across and build his own team which can compete in the future.

Far far harder to score in the Premier League, so not really similar. The playing in one of the best teams in the league that scored 72 goals v playing in a side that finished 15th and managed 43 goals all season.
That might be the case but it's far from an underwhelming season statswise for an eighteen year old as you originally said.

For a split second I thought this was a dyslexic Star Trek thread.

Anyway, watched a YouTube vid on this bloke now and I'm keen for us to sign him.

He looks like he could be some player! Obviously young but looks brilliant for his age. Seems to have everything you’d want in a striker. Tall, powerful, fast, two footed and skilful. Surprisingly good dribbler for someone so tall too.

How much do you think we are willing to pay for him when Ronaldo leaves, don't let this be yet another Haaland scenario where we wait.

Ideally we should be looking to get him in this summer as a player who comes in and out of the team. Another year of development will invite a lot more clubs interested in him.

Well he defo outperformed Nunes.
tbf to Nunes, he will probably take a season before he settles down -- I am sure the weight of the transfer fee has a lot to do with it. There is talent there but hopefully, I am wrong and he does a Carroll.

I hope the board stops waiting for fecking Ronaldo and get this deal done. Trying to keep someone who doesn't want to be here and messing up other deals. We never learn , do we ?

Apparently, you never learn.

If Ronaldo wants to leave they need to get some $$ back for the investment they made last summer. Wouldnt you do the same thing if you were in Arnold's position? Or do you print money as a hobby?

Seems like he had one good season at Benfica and now he is settling down to what his normal level is.

The board should've set a deadline for Ronaldo by first week of July to make a decision. We all know Ronaldo wants to play CL and if he left earlier , no one would be pissed off and we could have signed someone like Sesko. Now, our first game is in two weeks and we're waiting for Ronaldo to drag his sweet ass back to Manchester . Absolute shambles of planning.

He seems to have problem with his physique and movement with the ball, which can be conditioned with training. For a young player he knows how to make good decisions with the ball, though he does make the odd mistakes. Certainly one which can be developed but i wont say is first team ready.

He looks like a nightmare to defend against, yet he’s not physically peaked.

Sign him up

Is he similar interm of speed, agility, and technique like Ibrahimovich?

He seems to have quite a good feet for a tall guy, imo, has more dribbling and technique compare Haaland ( hes more of a scorer and freak of physique).

I think its good to buy him now if we have any chance because if he continue to impress then feea will skyrocket next season like Nunez and Antony. Its really a seller market nowaday and we seems to always bide our time and wait and miss the chance on the upcoming talents (smaller fees vs astronomical one after waiting a year later) these last few years.
