I wouldn’t necessarily dismiss its a possibility.
That lad has won it all, multiple times, he’s probably over that by now and wants an early retirement.
Perhaps he’s missing his old pals Cristiano and Raphael, plus Madrid have loads of promising young midfielders.

When Real Madrid tells me its a Paella I check under the rice to make sure, or something.

For what its worth, I would have him over Frankie any day of the week.

Leaving the best team in Europe for our circus.

It's getting embarrassing now amount of players linked with to fix our mess

Even if we were coming off the back of a title winning season, I wouldn't believe this nonsense.

Contract renewal time
Not really.

Marca work for Real's interests much like Sport for Barca's. More likely they wouldn't mind getting Casemiro off the books for De Jong's money, hitting Barca in the process.

Buggered if I know why Casemiro would entertain it.

Look like motivation is sole motivation if this transfer's ever materialized. When Varane moved here last summer, RM was not in as good position, and we deceptively looked like we had a squad to develop into something ambitious. Right now why would Casemiro leave RM for us? Nobody buy that new challenge bs.

Di Maria vibe. :wenger:

If we could actually get Casemiro it would be because Madrid want him gone. Can Chelsea gazump us on this deal instead.

It's from Marca so it's worth posting. Feel free to disagree.
Sure. It's nothing personal, I'm just sick of this club and all these pointless rumours and threads. This one is obviously never happening, and we're just wasting our time - just like the de Jong thread, which should've been closed 2 months ago.

In the end we'll probably end up with a 35 year old Vardy and Rabiot for 4 years at £280,000. fecking joke of a club.

Just seen he was on the bench at the weekend. Maybe he realises he is behind Camavinga and Tchouameni now, he/ Real think this is the last chance of fleecing us for a large sum of money, he wants to ensure his place in Brazil's WC 11 and/ or maybe his legs have gone somewhat.

Or maybe it's just a threat by Casemiro's agent that he will leave if they don't play him.

There's a poetry to this rumour coming out at a similar time to Wolves agreeing a few with Nunes.

The weekend's game only really showed that Camavinga and Tchouameni aren't quite ready to replace Kroos/Modric/Casemiro just yet.

Give it a rest ffs it’s boring.

I would love having him here, genuinely world class(one of the best ever in his position) and should theoretically have a few good years left, it also allows Madrid to bed in touchimani(sorry for spelling it wrong) by giving him regular play time.

Unfortunately knowing our luck he'll immense get bed ridden due to injuries, he also seemed to have slowed somewhat last season so maybe he has declined.

I can certainly see the lure of moving from the current European champions - who have assembled a very exciting squad - to erm, us...

No way this is happening. If by some miracle he does come to United, it only means that Real have decided he's 100% crocked.
Yeah, if it did somehow happen I'm afraid it'll end up like Schweinsteiger, Hargreaves, Sanchez, or Varane (so far). We really need to sign hungry, younger players instead of "stars" who've won everything possible about to sign their last contract.

I wouldn't be hugely surprised if he was available.

Madrid are stacked in CM. He's probably the most saleable asset they've got in CM.

Won't happen but he'd be perfect. Would stop teams walking through us.

Only as far as the minor nuisance of getting Casemiro agreeing a move.

It's Marca putting it out there so Real would sell him. In fact, they put it out there so as to signal they would and at the same time get a red army of keyboard warriors demanding we sign Casemiro (why no offer?).

The club will put feelers out and the marketing focus group will report back that, differently from Arnautovic, this would be quite a popular signing. Club making a statement, back to Disneyland and doing what others can only dream of, yadda yadda. It's ON! the paper over the cracks or giant chasms at this point

Imagine playing with Kroos and Modric for the majority of your career and then being banished to play with Fred and McTominay. I don't understand this move. ETH has shown no desire to play with a true DM so far. No Garner, No Martinez at DM instead of CB. If this were real would he be slotting Casemiro into one of the CM roles and keep everything the same?

He is so effective in many ways b/c he plays with Kroos and Modric. Don’t get me wrong, he is a very good player in his own right but if we get him, you still have to pair him with a great passer and driver of the ball. So another new mid needed.

Struggling to get Frenkie done and he is our No.1 must buy managers most desired top summer target.
Same applies to Frenkie.

If they were desperate enough to get it done and were willing to throw an extra £20m to Barca and give De Jong eye-watering money, they'd get it done this week.

They just won't. Obviously. For either player, or any other player.

You're right. It's boring and not a good look. But I'm just waiting for United to give me a reason not to be extremely pessimistic and wallow in self pity (in terms of supporting United, and not in life in general ;)) - it's been 9 years so far.
