Can’t help but feel like Casemiro at United would look several levels below Casemiro at Real. He’s like what 31 as well, right?
Definitely - but we're desperate. If it comes to ending the window with what we have vs ending the window with what we have + Casemiro, then I'd rather the latter. It all feels a bit immaterial because I doubt either of them are interested at all, but you're right that if we are going to offer mental money for any of their midfielders, it should be Valverde.
I just feel now more than ever that offering idiotic money for an aging player playing for their last contract is not the right way to go. We're going nowhere fast, you can make a case for experienced players but not when it's eating up all of your budget.
Its not bizarre, Madrid spent the same amount on a much younger player. We are about to spend around the same amount and pay more in wages. Its poor squad building. If we had an established team and were trying to win the league or champions league he wouldake sense.Spunking 80m on Casemiro or suffering through another season of utter wank that is McFred, yeah not really seeing an issue personally. We are desperate and he's fantastic.
Not happening anyway, but people not wanting him are bizarre.
Aye, but those aren't the only possibilities on the table. Caicedo at Brighton, for example. If he was being offered to us by his agent (and it was reported he is/was a United fan) then that sounds far more appealing to me than a guy who's only coming here because we're offering him a blank cheque.Definitely - but we're desperate. Of course its poor squad building. But we've seemingly got a blind spot to actually buying the young talents that would obviously help us. We're in a terrible terrible position in the market, worse I've ever known us. No matter what we do in the next few weeks, no one will be satisfied. Its not bizarre, Madrid spent the same amount on a much younger player. 30 is no problem. We get a perfect player. But I am not dragging my self in this transfer just yet. It’s Casemiro, a world class player. To be honest, he’s a phenomenal player. Just wish he was 3-4 years younger.
I can’t wait for “Casemiro loves Madrid and has no intention or joining united’s circus”30 is no problem. We get a perfect player. But I am not dragging my self in this transfer just yet. It’s Casemiro, a world class player.
I thought that too but Romano saying we're working on it gives it some traction for me.He’s a great DM, one of the best around. Don’t understand the posters who don’t want him.
It’s definitely not real though, no way we’re getting him. It’s Sergio Ramos all over again.
Still at the top of his game and they wouldn't have won the CL without him.Has he been on the decline or can we get 2-3 good years out of him still ? He's certainly an upgrade on what we've got so far

This is literally what we all said about Matic. We’ve been rebuilding for over half a decade now because of signings like this.Has he been on the decline or can we get 2-3 good years out of him still ? He's certainly an upgrade on what we've got so far

He's the best in the world with Kroos and Modric. Real's midfield is a perfect balance. Casemiro would be of very little help in building plays and has failed to impress with Brazil. I actually have a hard time remembering more than a couple of very good games with his NT in 7 years.Really? He’s the best player in the world in his position with a winners mentality.
If anything he’s worth more to us
