One of the few players in the world that I think has a chance to transform us to something good.

Keep telling yourself that Madridistas if it helps you sleep at night. He is OURS.
Hahaha, I know. It has looked like happening since the very beginning to me so I already got used to it.

And I want him to get successful at United actually.

I wasn’t singling you out , just in general there’s a few negative comments. I think he’ll be a great signing . Exactly what we need
He most certainly will be if we get the same hungry Casemiro. No doubt about it.

Before anyone says Varane, let me just add that this guy will add some serious steel to our team. Something we've sorely missed since Keano left.
Yeah would be our best signing in that area since Keano, obviously Hargreaves was good in summer 07 but sadly he only had one season here before injury against Chelsea

Gaz. Is a Mewling Quim.
Aside from that there’s no chance this happens, he’s also entirely not the player that will make a blind bit of difference to this side. Oh so he’ll win the ball back, pass it ten yards to Bruno and then he’ll go and chase the ball back again. Might as well sign a Border Collie for all the good it’ll do.

Nah, this tweet was bullshit for a few reasons.

1) it's old and things have moved on since in a more positive manner
2) it's Romano
3) there's no way that we sent any contract proposal to Real as our fax machine is still switched off and Woodward didn't leave notes on how to turn it back on when he fecked off.

Am I the only one that thinks this is just not good enough and we still definitely need another midfielder this summer as we terribly lack that creative sparkle that can control games which is definitely not Fernandes, it's a shame that pogba has gone if we do casimero, he would be the perfect dm to play with pogba in a midfield 3
Yes, your midfield is severly lacking as it is. It might improve if let's say you get Casemiro and De Jong, but looking at squads like Chelsea, City and Liverpool then your midfield still isn't there in terms of quality and options. That's why I'm really worried about Casemiro if he ends up there and the team is still a shit show.

Slightly confused as to why United waited until the end of the window to get this done. They could've had Casemiro signed and ready to start against Brighton but are running around late on in the window trying to get a deal done.

Cracking player though. Definitely the type of player United have been missing.
We kind of threw any scouting reports and initial targets to the side when ten Hag came in and gave him the floor for his choices. His main target was Frenkie de Jong, which was always an insanely complicated transfer. But the bigger issue was that it was consistently being reported throughout the weeks that de Jong was the only midfield target the gaffer had in mind. We’ve only just got the memo now that it’s not a goer, so we’ve moved elsewhere with the “de Jong money” we had in the budget.

Casemiro - whilst a great player - is a very different midfielder to de Jong, which suggests the club really didn’t have a back-up of a similar profile to the Dutchman.

This will be yet another mistake of a signing. We do not need another player who's simply there to supposedly win the ball back. We do not need a destroyer type DM. We need a Carrick, Busquets type deep lying play maker who can shield the defence and dictate play.

One of the main problems with our current squad is almost none of the team are comfortable on the ball. They instantly want to get rid of possession. Casemiro is good at breaking up play/winning the ball but he's another player who has limited ability in possession.

Get a player who can dictate play and keep the ball while also being a good reader of the game to shield the defence, and this will give us a platform for our attackers to thrive and our defence to be more stable. But Casemiro is not that.

We are getting desperate and signing him will be yet another mistake.

If he comes we clearly need another midfielder.
Think a move for Neves could be on the cards.

Might improve? Casemiro and De Jong would give us a midfield as good as any team in the league. Not that we are signing De Jong.

Price is abit steep But he's a DM and a decent one at that.
100% what we needed in this team to be honest. Think we need someone like him more then de Jong although the next midfield signing should be one that can progress the ball and move it forward.

Not according to the Brazilian media:

To be fair I'm under the impression that there is nothing more loyal than the brazilian press when it comes to brazilian footballers, they will create the narrative that suits their compatriots.

Definitely like the signing should it happen , 60 million euros is a lot of money for his age, hope he has more than one good year like Matic.

It does seem like that quite often, but their reliable outlets don't tend to make too many things up, either. Regardless, Casemiro hasn't necessarily dismissed us immediately, so that's a good sign, at least.

Truth. Going anywhere after Madrid is always a downgrade, but the stature of this club is definitely one of the few clubs in the tier below. Even as shit as we are these days

Hey Casemiro
We are dancing in the stands
You're at United now
It's adult Disneyland
Not sure what that means but it rhymed nicely with stands
Oh Casemiro welcome to your new challenge

Wouldn’t have mattered, really. Pogba is broken now. We saw the injuries pile up over the last 18 months and this current one at Juve is a biggun. Don’t think he’ll be the same again
