Sky sports trying single handedly to keep this transfer alive!

United have long since checked out.

This could be Berba levels of last day mahem if this actually happens.

So close to 2000.

How about one last hurrah and we take this to 2000 before end of the day? Doable?

So we’re supposed to nevermind that Bernardo Silva has stated he’s not moving during this window?
Struggling to see how this would hinge on Silva heading to Barca, if they've allowed FDJ to travel to London to sign contracts, have medical, film reveal video etc.

Besides, the narrative all summer has been that Barca need him off the books if he refuses a salary reduction. If that's the true, he'll move either way.

Eight thousand green bottles
Hanging on the wall (2)
And if one green bottle
Should accidentally fall
There'll be
seven thousand nine hundred and ninety nine green bottles
Hanging on the wall...

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
I've always hoped (if not fully believed) he'd come. I didn't think it was PURELY the wages issue that prevented it, but also where the two teams were in July/most of August (CL v no CL, improving team v 'ok' tfr window).

But I do wonder if Casemiro and Antony might give him a more positive view of things. Combined with us now having a few Dutch/ex teammates and ETH starting to make his mark, could make a difference to him.
