    Good first half.

Lovley to see Antony score in his debut. Should try to do little less to please people. He can be little more direct. Varane and Martinez continue to be very good. I really, really like what I see in Martinez so far. No nonsense central defender. Something we missed, trying to get "playing" central defenders. Dalot is getting better in his defending all the time. Fernandes is doing a horse work. McTominay has stepped up since breaking up with Fred. Important figure with his power, hight and strenght.

    Lets keep it on.

So pleased for Antony! Debut goal at Old Trafford. His confidence will be sky high. I’m sure there were many in the antiUnitex press who had their headlines already written comparing our new boy to another recent acquisition who has not done well.

    At any rate, feck yeah!

Mctominay been best player on the pitch, don't think he has put a foot wrong and has been breaking down attacks and progressing good balls forward.

Antony well taken goal, but hasn't really got going but first match and all. Been disappointed with Sancho and Malacia, keep getting bullied or losing the ball.

The ref is allowing him to manhandle Varane. On numerous occasions Jesus has just turned to push and pull at Varane without looking at the ball. The ref gave Arsenal a free kick for it.
I noticed this. He’s running into Varane, falling over and getting a free kick

McTominay making a few people eat their words yet again.
Quality so far, hopefully we can keep it up in the second half.

We're getting there week by week. Arsenal obviously look further ahead in their development as you would expect, but can't fault the fight and effort in this team at the moment. The next stage is to be better with the ball. We do treat it very carelessly at times.
Bruno the worst for being careless with it, he infuriates me sometimes.

Arsenal are doing well, but I think being 1-0 up we can play the game on our terms and have a much stronger bench than Arsenal with real experienced guys who can come on and close out the win.

When we play forward fast, they look stretched. If we can continue to defend well I think we'll to on to win this one.

Great first 10 minutes, terrible middle 20, great last 15. Eriksen and mctominay have been superb. Bruno and Sancho not doing enough. I think i've seen enough already to start Eriksen in his preferred position at 10 and make Bruno fight for his place. He gives the ball away far too much.
I agree with that assessment. I'm torn about moving Eriksen, especially when he's playing well in this position. Bruno is very frustrating, though. However, he's the type who will play shite for 85 minutes and then come up with a goal and an assist. I'd love to know what ETH is thinking regarding him.

McTominay has looked great. Amazing what ETH is getting out of him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if McTominay’s forward passing stats are this season are higher by 50% than they were in other seasons.
He's really surprising me lately. His forward passing, ability to turn and move with the ball, so much better than he's shown in the past. Showing himself to be a potentially decent squad option. I think he's actually benching Fred. That is crazy

Loving our goals this season. Most come from fast transitions from our own half, a couple of fast passes and bam!

I thought we would get that from ragnarik but thankfully ten hag is making it real

He's done it before, I think it's when his place is under threat like Luke Shaw.
On that note, as pleased as I’ve been with Malacia given the pennies we’ve paid for him, he really doesn’t offer much going forward at the moment. I’d be tempted to give Shaw the chance to prove himself again with some sub appearances. I’d like it if we played players on merit rather than the manager having favourites.

Ronaldo for Rashford is badly needed. It's like we're playing with a man down at the moment. McT has been a beast today and I'm usually one of his biggest critics.
Na disagree we need movement and work rate out of possession against a team like Arsenal, and pacey movement upfront. Rashford for all his flaws gives us more of that then Ronaldo does

The need for a progressive CM and a class CF is glaring.

Other than that - good half. Ahead with a bit of luck. ANTONNNY also!

I'd like Casemiro on too, but I can't decide for whom. Eriksen has been the only one who's helped us retain possession and his ball made that goal possible. Bruno on the other hand provides that work off the ball. Sancho has been anonymous (as has Antony apart from the goal) so tempted to say either of them.

Casemiro for Eriksen seems logical to shut down Arsenals control in the middle a little bit, or Bruno and swap the two.

Excellent game. Arse should be playing with 10 men.

That sounds wrong. ..playing with 10 players. That sounds better,

What Jesus is doing for Arsenal is want I want to see Rashford do for us.

If he wants to play CF he needs to get better at the dark arts required to hold the ball up

    Let us forget the assist.
One has set a up a goal. The other hasn’t.
Yeah that's exactly the minimum you'd expect there, but fine. Fair play for picking the pass

Other than that he hasn't really challenged, held up the ball too much and sauntered around considerably more than Jesus who is giving Varane especially a challenge

Entertaining first half anyway. Obviously wouldn't be quite so positive if not for being 1-0 up.

Great for Antony to score. And in general he's been our best player so far I think. Been very involved. Even defensively.

A few dodgy moments, Arsenal obviously grew into the game after their correctly disallowed goal. But we started so well and stayed in the game and got our reward.

Sancho very quiet. I want to see more than him.

Pundits here in South East Asia saying Arsenal goal should've stood. Bonkers, clear as day it was a foul. Odegaard hands were high.

I really like Antony's finish. It looks simple but not simple at all. He managed to trick Ramsdale. Very good finish indeed.

That’s a wonderful Arsenal side. Will finish above pool. Top game. Will be more goals lads, and like I predicted a sending off. Should have been one already for the foul on Bruno

Nice first half and a great goal that started from line breaking pass by Eriksen, nice layoff by Rashford and an excellent finish by our new boy Antony.

Lost control of the game/possession of the ball but kept it tight at the back.

On the disallowed goal, clear foul on Eriksen, but when Martinelli broke through, I would've loved to see DDG coming out of his line faster instead of hesitating

We're halfway to stealing points from a team that has us outgunned a bit due to great team defense. Impressive game so far. But we can't coast to 90 with one goal vs this team.

Rash needs to come off. We're lacking presence in the center, though that pass he made on the goal was money. Guessing Ronaldo will be in there around the 75 mark to ensure he's got enough to finish strong.

Malacia having trouble with Saka surprises me. We're lucky Saka still lacks confidence in his game or they'd have a goal. Good thing is Dalot has held up very well and you can see Arteta wanted that matchup with him and Martinelli.

McTominay having himself a game. Seriously man. This guy has really taken to EtH and this style of ball.
