  • DDG's distribution is so poor. Why not play a simple pass instead of kicking the ball to an Arsenal player.
  • McTominay has improved, which is nice to see, but needs to cut out his sloppy passes. Bruno and Dalot need to cut the sloppy passes as well.
  • I get anxious when Harry comes on, why not try Lindelof instead!
  • Sancho needs to defend better.
  • Rashford needs to stop those senseless burst, he runs with the ball into a dead end then is unable to dribble past the opposition and we lose a good opportunity.

If you look at the table you will see the average placement of their opponents before us is 15.
For comparison the average placement of our opponents before them is 5.1.
They are trash. Beating other trash doesn’t make them not trash.
If they're trash, then you can only rate a tiny amount of teams in the league.

HAHAHA, it is so enjoyable to see Arsenal Forum.
They kept saying that they played a dominated football (But 2 big chance created (We made 5) and only 3 shot on target(We made 6))

I have a man crush on Eriksen, can't stop smiling when I see him. Such a player. Wish we got him earlier. But then again, think we got him at the right time, he might have been turned into a virus under the coaches we had in the past.
I wanted him when he was at Ajax. Great player. Needs a system but the passing quality is there.

I was struggling to remember the second half of his name!
At least another one of these poor youngsters, Borthwick-Jackson pops up against my boys Wycombe in league 1. No idea where Blackett ;) plays now.
I think he is in america.

Delighted with that. Arsenal are a good side to be fair but we beat them fair and square.

Of all the top 6 sides we are the only team to beat one of the others - and we've done it twice.

Imagine thinking Rashford wasn't always a striker.

Not sure why we kept shunting him out wide.

He needs to start playing up top unless there are emergency/injuries at the left flank.

He broke through as a striker. He played in the youth teams as a striker.

He is probably our best striker, but just needs a run of games to continue the form.
He's a very good striker for a counterattacking team. His hold up play is way too poor if you're going for any kind of possession play

Do people who call our manager stupid before the match starts and our game shit, slow and predictable, 15 minutes in at 0-0, celebrate the win as well? Afraid damage is done for a part of fanbase, no turning back. Maybe watching more City, PSG and Real would help and make people see that even the best of teams struggle in some games and definitely struggle during some periods of a game.
Are those people actually deserving to be called part of the fan base?

I hope we don’t let the great result cloud our judgement of the game. Minutes 35-65 were absolute garbage. Lost all control and couldn’t keep the ball at all. No title challenging team should ever be clinging on in the early 2nd half with 22% possession against trash like Arsenal.

People talk about mentality but there is something wrong with the way we lose all control after taking the lead in games. Thanks to Bruno and Rashfords combination in the 65th minute though, we got the mental reset to see out the rest of the game.
They are not trash. They have been coached in their style for 3 yrs now. We are 3 months in. So obviously we are not yet where we want to be with the ball. It is what is.

Good performance and deserved win. Wtf is Neville talking about Arsenal. They weren't brilliant at all.
They can be brilliant every game. I only want 3 points every game. Neville should know better.

Great win. Well deserved.

Not getting excited yet though. Should be par for course to crush the gooners at OT.

They really arent that good. Their league position is a bit false.

We're still behind citeh and the dippers. At least in terms of consistency. We need to do more to get to their level.

Good results though.

And killed himself by reducing our squad to next to nothing, meaning a couple of injuries meant we were into the likes of Donald Love, Blackstock, McNair etc.
Plus backing a on the wane Rooney as his main striker.
It was a backline of Love, Mcnair, Blackett and CBJ. They have all disappeared now.

Would you prefer a wall of text instead? Or would you prefer believing that it was a 10/10 performance?
Maybe you can add some substance instead!

Really happy with this win and it's a huge 3 points as well, bringing us closer to the top of the table. Some positive and some negative stuff. Think both of our goals to take the lead 1-0 and 2-1 were against the run of play, especially that goal to make it 2-1, it changed the course of the game completely.

Those first 20 minutes of 2nd half they really dominated us, we were stuck in our half and couldn't get the ball at all at times. I like what we've been showing since the Liverpool game but it will take a long time (and another few signings) to be dominating games, we're basically only at start.

Ups:

Erikson was fantastic. Best free transfer in a while!

Antony scored on his debut.

The passion and fight is back!

Rashford Scored twice.

Downs:

Rashford still isn't a striker unless we play on the break when the opposition are pushed too far forward.

Antony's 'leg wiggle skill'.

Casemiro out of favour?

What I don't get is that we've shown the ability to play proper football but we somehow give up on that either when we score or just randomly after 15 or so minutes.

The way we started this game was similar to how we started the Liverpool game which we dominated for 15 minutes or so then dropped off.

In Liverpool's case we dropped off after scoring and decided to defend while in the Arsenal's case we got spooked after their disallowed goal. You mean to tell me we're incapable of playing the way we started today for longer than 15 minutes? We just somehow decided to drop all that and play safe after getting spooked.

Hopefully we see better performances going forward. Let's see us play proper football for more than just a half or after scoring a goal.
I just don’t think we are quite there yet. I don’t think we have the personnel either. I watched Arsenal pass and move today and I can’t say that I wouldn’t be surprised to see us play like that with any frequency.

Martial returning will make an enormous difference to this team though. Our attacking play will get significantly better once he’s back up front.

Confidence is coming back into the squad.

The new lads have lifted everyone. It was imperative we spent the money this summer.

A shame we didn't go for another RB. I still don't think Dalot is up to task.

We are improving by the week. Another good result, and after listening EtH's post match analysis, you just know he won't slow down at all. Subs were spot on to be fair

Come on mate, they are a very good and polished side, Arteta deserves credit for this.

We did very well to win this game.

It's great to see how United can now pick themselves up after a setback. A few weeks ago, as soon as that equaliser went in, we would have collapsed. Even before Ten Hag's changes though, even with Arsenal pushing, we found a way to get 2-1 up. That's a great sign.

Have absolutely no idea how they think that isn’t a foul. Odegaard literally went through the back of him.

It's unreal that these highly paid pundits are still saying that wasn't a foul for the disallowed goal.

Which part of being 2 handed shoved from behind, flooring the opponent and not touching the ball makes it legit!?

It's utterly infuriating, and typical of Sky to focus on that when we've won 3-1!

Quick search found Blackett is at FC Cincinnati in the MLS. Unbelievable that Borthwick-Jackson is still only 25! It’s like ages ago when LvG used to start him for us.

It's similar to the Emirates game last season - thought we were better but Arsenal actually won 3-1.

Wow, tough crowd. Rashy got 2 out of 3 goals and an assist on the first goal and still only 33% people think he was MoM? Haha! That is a bit harsh.

All-in-all, fantastic performance and team spirit! Onwards and upwards!
