Named on the bench for Arsenal. Would be the youngest ever premier league player if he debuts today.

Born in 2007

Arsenal love doing this, remember when (had to Google his name) Zelalem broke through at a similar age and he was meant to be the next Cesc.

Is he that good? No one in the higher age bracket?
He is a genuinely top talent in that age bracket. He is too young to sign professional terms and we are reportedly worried about him leaving for a club that will fast track him into the first team so I think we're just giving him a taste of what this is like. With nine bench players it doesn't really matter.

Hope he isn’t brought on and then subject to a proper reducer of a tackle.

Premier league history has been written.

This record won’t be broken in any of our lifetimes you’d imagine. 15 years and 160 days. Crazy.

He must be something special if he is in the first team. Like the fans singing , he's got school in the morning

It is just Arsenal trying to push kids. He might be very talented, however there is no reason for a 15 year old to be on their bench right now.

I know one of the youth coaches at Arsenal, and I knew about this kid way back. He described him as Foden level of ability a year ago. Word got out he was training with the 21s, but I know he was training with the first team. My friend named 4 clubs that are after him and sadly all 4 are bigger than Arsenal, and he said it will be a miracle if we keep him. I imagine that is why Mikel brought him on today, to show him if he stays here he will get opportunities, which is our best hope.

Omari Hutchinson is a great young player, left for Chelsea. Again, I know for a fact he was being offered £4,000 p/w at Arsenal, and Chelsea offered him £24,000. How can you compete with that.

Not sure if serious.
Absolutely serious. The second the kid was brought on, his childhood was effectively over. While still in his puberty, he will never be able to experience actual privacy or any sort of environment without pressure. It’s become more and more difficult for him to socialise with his peers. And all that for a very loose promise of what might someday become a career.
It’s not ok and no kid should be put into a situation like this.

You do realise this is what aspiring professional footballers want to be.....professional footballers. What are you on about?

This is just self serving nonsense from Arteta. You’re telling me there’s no 17-21 year olds better suited in the academy? Of course there isn’t because then he couldn’t break the record for introducing the youngest player in PL history. The lad’s too young for this type of spotlight and benching him never mind bringing him on was totally needless. It’s the same sort of thing Pep does when he runs over to a young player to spout some random tactics when he sees a camera on him, except this time an actual child is being thrown into the public eye for no reason other to further a managers own acclaim. No doubt he’ll be lapping it up in the post match presser.

I get what he's saying. 15 is just ridiculous.

Would be in school tomorrow if not for the bank holiday. Was Messi or Ronaldo even making their debut at 15? what is the point?

Its a complete nonsense.

I assume they're doing this to make him happy to sign his first contract with Arsenal?

If other clubs are sniffing around, Arsenal saying "look you will get minutes if you stay".

Bonkers that people can even be getting poached at 16 but I guess that's football.
