I always assumed NFL had their own team(s) to ensure that concussion protocol is followed. Didn't realize it was just the franchise's medics doing it.

I always associate team doctors with James Woods & the guy who punctured Taylor's lung. Needless to say, I don't hold them in the highest regard.

Horrible to see & utterly disgraceful he was allowed to play to begin with.

How is everyone convinced that the Sunday injury had anything to do with what happened last night
I think it's something to do with it being obvious to everyone with eyes that it was also a head injury on Sunday.

Also, find what Aikman has said about concussions in the past. He had them in back-to-back games back in the mid-90s and recall he later found (or science did) if you had one it's far easier to have another in short duration without adequate recovery time.

Cannot confirm but SC mentioned last night that Tua had been released and would fly home with the team. Looking forward to the organization's next apologetic diagnosis.

Maybe not but I just prefer to believe that teams are cautious these days & so I would wait for any real evidence before assuming that Miami just played him despite a concussion
For me, it's the audacity for Miami to label his Bills' injury as a back injury. I've had a bad back for years & years & every time it flares up, my body locks up. There's no loose body like Tua had against the Bills.

This cat is a great subscribe on YouTube. He made this on Wednesday, don't know if he has done a new episode for last night's injury yet, but he most certainly will...

That's no back injury. He looks dazed. It's definitely a concussion. :(

It could be both back and head but I certainly see signs of something neurological, even if a stinger versus a full-on concussion. But he looks too woozy for a simple stinger and the way he shook his head immediately after getting up points to a concussion or some kind of head knock.

I've been there quite a few times.

It could possibly, possibly be a neck injury, but that's no middle.to lower back injury. But even a neck injury makes the body stiffen up. We've all had kricks in our neck & we don't weeble wooble.

Not sure it's any different in football is it? There are medics on call but it's the club physio / doc who does the assessments. I think in Rugby they have an independent Dr make the assessment - happy to be told otherwise.

But it is shocking that clubs should be able to make the call instead of independent professionals - although you'd like to think the club physio / medics would make the correct call, but outside pressure might mean they do the wrong thing!

Isn't there a neutral doctor on site every game to be able to dispassionately make the required call?

Unless you're standing outside you'll be fine. The stadium has a roof.

Do they serve Bud Light to make the atmosphere authentic? You might not taste the difference with the rainwater.

This actually isn’t a half-bad idea. Jameis definitely needs to be on TV in some capacity when his playing days are done.
