Anyone else getting the feeling Morgan is putting words into Ronaldos mouth?
On every question. But in the end Ronaldo is an adult who has been in the game for decades. He has no excuse.

Joking aside, their situations are totally different. Hence one being on a year's pure limbo before an inevitable 20 year sentence, and one being free as a bird.
One was arrested for rape in the summer he made a world record move pre #metoo. That’s the difference.

I would love to know what Maguire, Pogba, Lingard and Rashford think. They have been lambasted for far less.
Maguire got death threats and media shitstorm because he liked a tweet about players having to lower their salary due to missing CL.

When the dust settles and the circus moves on, he will be remembered more fondly for his first 6 years rather than what's transpiring now. Other United legends and stars have had similar sad and acrimonious exits like Best, Beckham, Ruud and Keane but we all end up appreciating them at the end. Some of the shit that's being said is rightly deserved, but we will be hard pressed to witness another player produce anything similar to his Ballon D'Or season for us. Whether you agree or disagree I don't care, his last 3 years at United (from 2006 to 2009) was some of the best football we'll ever see from a United player.

Well this was an hour I won't get back. Two obnoxious knobheads - one constantly brown-nosing the other, one wallowing in pity. Just super uncomfortable.

I'm a big @Adnan fan, but your explanation sounds far more likely than his.

Carrick and McKenna not being on board also makes perfect sense though.
The evidence is pointing towards Solskjaer and the likes of Fergie, Ferdinand and Bruno would only get involved after Solskjaer had made it clear to the board that he wanted Ronaldo.

Below is a excerpt from The Athletic which clearly points to Solskjaer being the one who got the ball rolling as far as the Ronaldo signing is concerned. And once that was established with the board, it was Woodward's role to then sell the idea to Joel Glazer.

Whitwell/Crafton: "Solskjaer placed a call to chief executive Ed Woodward with one aim — he wanted to know if United could do the deal instead. It was a quick conversation. Woodward agreed instantly and set about negotiating with Ronaldo’s Italian club, Juventus."

https://theathletic.com/2794203/202...n-to-manchester-united-how-the-deal-was-done/

Jonathan Northcroft in his 'The Times' column went on to say that Solskjaer ignored the advice of his coaching staff to sign Ronaldo because he believed Ronaldo's goals would make up for his off the ball deficiencies.

He's earned the right to shit on his teammates and the club in an interview?
I’m not defending that. He should be sacked for disrespecting ten hag alone forget the club. I would be over the moon if the club sacked him tonight. I’m talking about his bit for young players. He’s not wrong there. On this very forum, you can see the people complaining about our players attitude all the time especially young players. Just few days back, Bruno called out Garnacho. Ten hag eluded the same. The Greenwood episode etc etc.

Not absolving him in anyway as I think he's a self-serving **** who wants to engineer an exit and doesn't care about the club but it seems he was disappointed by the quality and attitude of the players he found here; got the feeling that was the subtext with his reference to legends like Ruud, Keane and Giggs. Worth remembering a lot of these players collapsed to 6th place on more than one occasion and I'm constantly afraid that they just always flatter to deceive. Hopefully they use this as motivation but you never know.

The attacks on EtH are a disgrace though as he's the one trying to change this mess (a mess which Ronaldo himself has contributed to)

Didn't say anything controversial in this part of the interview, felt bad for his family situation, other things about Ragnick and the club falling behind we already knew. I think tomorrow's where he will go after ETH will be far more controversial.

Yes but as other poster said he criticizes young players bit goes up in arms at even the slightest critic aim at him. It's a bit silly.

At least he's doing 1 good thing(except exposing the Glazers)

If he kept it to the hierarchy this thing would have been a hit. Instead he went after everyone that had nothing to do with it. Ten Hag, even Richard Arnold haven't even been in their roles long enough to be painted with the same brush. Neville and Rooney especially are just taking bullets for not repping Mates FC.

Can we have "Ronaldo should not be allowed to play again, but should be forced to see out his contract doing stuff for the community and every time he refuses, fine him a weeks wages. Thus making sure he wastes the rest of the his contract here not contributing to his stats, and allowing Messi to take the GOAT crown once and for all time."?

I agree, he was a wonderful player during that first stretch for us. Not so wonderful now, either as a footballer or a human being...

You've been making it out like SAF went behind United/Ole's back and signed Ronado which is complete nonsense. Fergie only got involved once United had already moved for Ronaldo. The deal was already underway, the club obviously knew he would be the deciding factor and asked him to make the phone call. It's no secret Fergie wanted to see Ronaldo return so he was more than happy to help.
SAF traumatized Arsenal fans (he ended their period of success). I guess it still stings today, so this must be his pathetic little way to have a go at the great man.

The interview should not have happened. He should be sacked for it. Now, this isn't controversial.

What does this have to do with anything? Its a fact, no other United player has won the Ballon D'or since he won it for us and that 2006 to 2009 period was highly successful for the club. Ronaldo is a knob and passed it, somewhat like you I suppose.
