that short snippet pretty much sums up the whole interview.

1) Morgan stroking Ronaldos ego
2) Ronaldo seeing himself as a God who can't be criticized
3) Morgan inventing/suggesting things to get spicy quotes
4) Ronaldo buying it hook, line and sinker

and repeat. Nauseating stuff with two incredibly dislikeable men.
Spot on

To conclude with Ronaldo. I don’t hate him like other fans do. Still a legend. Probably would still like him to win the World Cup. But he has mental problems and he does need to go.

We'll never know the truth for sure, fans will believe what they want to believe.

The smart money is obviously still on a parting of ways, but I wouldn't rule out some sort of arrangement to last until the summer still.
Interesting.

Maybe give ETH a sabbatical for the rest of the season and bring a Ronaldo-friendly manager in until then? Or Ronaldo as player-manager? Then he could pick himself as often as he likes.

I can’t see how it would work otherwise. I had hoped that after the summer debacle he would knuckle down to a squad role. He clearly hasn’t. Do you honestly believe he will now, after having had all that smoke blown up his arse by Piers?

The only way I see that happening is if United can get a striker in January. Keeping him after this will be hell for the rest of the season, it will be like a black cloud over the team.
We dealt with the summer nonsense, so it'd just be similar to that.

You're right, we need a striker. We cannot think we can get away with just Martial as an out and out striker with his flimsy record. Rashford can play there but is constantly saying he prefers the left.
Any other ideas, Elanga, Bruno etc do not bear thinking about

I'm probably in a minority here, but I reckon both sides might form an unlikely 6 month truce.

Otherwise we'll be left basically relying on Rashy/Martial for 6months, and he's got to somehow find a club akin to United for status, but one he'll play more often at!
I think both sides will be struggling here.
Hate to go against FPL manager mate but you would really want that that cnut wears our shirt ever again?

I thought it'd be an absolute given he'd be off when hearing the soundbites, and thinking that was just a light version.
Reading the actual quotes, I'm now thinking that it's not quite as cut and dried. As much as that seems to upset some people.

We'll see, it'll be interesting. Will we sanction a striker signing? Hard to see, unless it's an Ighalo style filler.

We cannot allow this to go on disrupting the team, Ronaldo has to go now.

I mostly want him sacked so we don't have to see him stink the place out again.

He's been fecking horrendous this season.

@Deery He absolutely is calling Rooney a rat.

The defence line you and the other Ronaldo fanboys should have used is English isn't his first language and maybe he misspoke. At least that one sounds more realistic.

You're reading it the way you want to read it.
He didn't say "Rooney is a rat". He was light heartedly saying "and the other rats" when Rooney's criticism came up.
He isn’t calling Rooney a rat mate, it’s quite simply a difference in what he’s saying.
Let’s say he didn’t… He certainly replied in the affirmative to the leading question “how could Wayne Rooney hate you more?”… Why the feck would Rooney hate him! Because he offered some mild criticism about playing younger players? It’s fecking deranged stuff

Well if we all believe what the press reckoned, why did he make it clear he was off in the summer, when no-one came in for him?
We don't know the real truth unfortunately. We all go off snippets in the media, and what we want to believe.
I dont understand your post? I literally just watched the man himself set fire to his United career, what has the press got to do with it?

Others keep bringing Rooney up to him for some reason, and he half laughed it off. Yet it's relayed on here like he's specifically gone out of his way to bring him up and slate him.

It was all tongue in cheek imo and Ronald's English isn't great. It doesn't really matter in the end its a small detail to get hung up on, I'm sure Rooney has been called a lot worse things. I've certainly seen a lot of nasty things said about him on this forum.

We're talking about the summer stuff. The press were saying every club from Barcelona to Sporting Lisbon had turned him down. We don't actually know what the truth is.

He strongly implyed but didn't say it directly. It can be interperted as both though but HE DID NOT SAY IT. If he is that clever I don't know.
I guess its a bit fun to bash him while we wait for the WC but in all honesty I would strongly suggest to cool of from any CR7 related threads (including the vs Messi one) for at least a year. We still have a season that can go both ways and the january transfer window should be subject NO1 during and after the WC

I regret Ronaldo ever got the opportunity to wear our club's shirt after he did this. I wish he had never signed for us, not even the first time round.

Enough of them said they wouldn't sign him, or don't you think that was truthful?

Piers clearly trying to involve Wayne in this story but Ronaldo is the one who said horrible shit against Wayne.
1) Wayne is jealous
2) Wayne is not good looking
3) Wayne is a rat.

Awful shit by that cnutish diva

Mate, that is out of order. Calling United poster (fanboy or not) a cnut is a no go. Especially Sandikan who is one decade here
Thanks mate. Because they can't vent at Ronaldo directly it's coming to anyone who doesn't agree. We will see what happens with interest.

But did they turn him down. Or were they reacting to the press speculation. We don't actually know for sure.

City were never interested last summer if we believe them for instance. Is that true?
