The Argentina manager is an imbecile but that doesn't make him an exception on the international stage.

I hope they lose with a last-minute howler from Otamendi

Australia's manager looks like a washed up opera singer suffering from severe alcoholism

Can't give him 2 years b/c you need to bring in someone, if you plan on making a change, who can get right away into identifying new players and creating a new player pool
I agree, but the Federation is slow to make important decisions like this. The expectations and demand has to start at the USMNT manager position. They can set the tone and just like the Olympics, focus on the development and coaching for the next 4 years which will set the foundation moving forward. But I don't believe in the Federation, they are up their own asses.

I think England might go through.
With how bad USA were today I don't think we are favourites.

Tuesdays games seem the most likely now Netherlands are through. So Morocco or Switzerland (not even sure Switzerland would count as an upset though, not counting Japan because that definitely wouldn’t be an upset this tournament)

Their supporters are incredible. Not surprising as the country seems to breathe football.
Look at San Lorenzo fans songs, it's amazing the lyrics are funny and the rhythm is perfect. As a player I would be dancing on the pitch.

I know Argentina haven't created anything yet but this game just feels like we are waiting for the inevitable Argentina opener.

Stoke City's Harry Souttar v PSG's Lionel Messi.

The stuff of dreams. We are living in special times.

As much as I like Bruno and Dalot, I think Switzerland is the most realistic. They almost beat Spain at the Euros after dealing with France.

Just an all-round solid team who can take advantage of the expected Portugese brainfart.

Second bet is on Morocco because they match up well with sandmen of football

we have a huge opportunity with the age of this group to make a big move forward and that will only come iwht a new manager and the federation pushing for a big player pool and better development of players. You know you're qualified already and it's being played in the states. You HAVE to do what is right when you are putting on the show in your home country.

Australia playing nice. Very good defensive set up. Not giving an inch to Argentina. This is how you prepare for a big match. US coach totally fecked up from the start.

If you tuned into football for the first time, you'd think Australia are the favourite here. Argentina are doing nothing

Argentina look to be lacking energy. Flat game with not much going on.

Not a bad showing from Scotland B. Just need to make sure any of their players have a sudden brainfart.
